I recently received a delicious bottle of TUACA vanilla citrus liqueur. TUACA captures the essence of its Italian roots, which I love being that my husband it half Italian. TUACA began as a legendary liqueur created for Lorenzo de Medici, ruler of Florence. The recipe for this liqueur was rediscovered in 1938, when two brother-in laws (Gaetano Tuoni and Giorgio Canepa) recreated the spirit and gave it a new name “TUACA”. American servicemen actually drank TUACA in Italy during WWII and brought TUACA home to the U.S.! It has a very rich flavor and history, to say the least.
TUACA is also 100% natural. The TUACA creation process begins with the selection of the finest Italian brandy, ranging from 3 to 10 years old. The Italian brandy is then blended with natural sugar, fine spirits and a touch of citrus and vanilla essences. This makes it one of the best liqueurs I’ve ever had!
I knew I immediately wanted to mix up some cocktails with this amazing liqueur. I first wanted to try the Tuaca Mule Drink Recipe. I love a good Moscow Mule, so I couldn’t wait to try the TUACA Mule.
- 2.00 oz TuacaĀ® Liqueur
- 4.00 oz Ginger Beer
- 0.50 Lime
- Ice
I chose to make mine in a cocktail mixed, but you can also make this TUACA Mule by simply squeezing a lime into a copper mug filled with ice. Drop lime into mug, then add TUACA and top with ginger beer.
Stir gently and enjoy.
Garnish with a Lime Wedge and serve!

This is such a refreshing and light cocktail to drink.
It would be perfect to serve for your upcoming Halloween parties, as your guests will love it!
You could also make mini versions of this by putting the same mixture in mini mule glasses.

You can also make what I call a “Vampire Kiss” with TUACA for Halloween.
- 3.00 oz TuacaĀ® Liqueur
- 1 Can of Blood Orange Soda
- 1.00 oz of Grenadine Syrup
- Ice
- Cocktail Drink Shaker
- Red Gel Icing
- Red Sanding Sugar
- Spooky Halloween Glasses
- Spooky Plastic Eyes to garnish
First you pour your 3.00 oz TuacaĀ® Liqueur and 1 Can of Blood Orange Soda into your cocktail drink shaker and mix. You then line the rim of your spooky glasses with red gel icing. You put some of the gel dripping down the side of the drink so it looks like the areas where the vampires two teeth hit the glass and now the blood is dripping down the glass. You then dip the glass into the red sanding sugar.
You then pour in the cocktail mixture inside your cocktail shaker into the glass and add the 1.00 oz of Grenadine Syrup.
You add your spooky plastic eye ball as a garnish and serve!
It’s the perfect spooky Halloween drink and it tastes amazing!
Who wouldn’t love this fun ombrĆ© Halloween drink? I know I do! I can’t wait to serve it to my guests on Halloween during our adults only party! These are alcoholic drinks, so remember you must be 21 or older to make these drink recipes. And remember to always please drink responsibly!
