I recently went to spend a quick day at the LA Auto Show in search of a new family car for us and I wanted to check out all the SUV’s. I had never been to the LA Auto Show so I jumped at the chance to go.
One car I really wanted to check out in particular was The Nissan Pathfinder! I’ve heard a lot about this car and really wanted to get the inside scoop on all the new features straight from Nissan! I quickly made my way straight to the Nissan booth!
There were so many amazing cars on display at the Nissan Booth. Everything from race cars, to sedans, to SUV’s!
I immediately fell in love when I saw the blue of The Nissan Pathfinder!
It’s a sleek and sexy looking family car. Yes this SUV can be sexy and still be an amazing family car!
This 2013 model fits up to SEVEN passengers and has not two but three specious rows of seats!
The second row of seats have a one click Latch and Glide technology that essentially allows you to move the 2nd row of seats more easily and you can even do it with one hand! I did it with one hand and my camera in the other with no problem at all. It will come in handy when you’ve got your hands full with groceries or even your kids! No more struggling to pull the seats forward! It also slides easily even with a child safety seat, so you don’t need to remove your child’s car seat to move the seats. The 3rd row of seats also folds down for added space like if you were moving and needed to fit something long in the car.
The Pathfinder also has New Tri-Zone Entertainment, which means Mom and Dad can control the entire cars entertainment system through the navigation touch-screen display on the dash board and listen to their favorite tunes in the front of the car while the kids in the 2nd row can watch their favorite shows and movies on dual 7-inch DVD monitors! How cool is that! The kids can even play video games on wireless handsets. It’s the perfect road trip car for families!
The car also has a tremendous about of safety features.
It has front and side airbags, Easy Fill Tire Alerts, and the New Around View Monitor for added safety! The Around View Monitor allows you to see 360 around your car on your navigation screen. It not only helps drivers maneuver into parking spots, but for women who live in major cities like me, it’s great to know that you can see if anyone is stashed behind your car before you get out. I think being able to see ALL around my car is a safety feature.
It also has 4WD lock modes and the automatic door opener when you have your key in hand and you’re close to your car you can press this button on the door handle to unlock the car.
Pathfinder’s quiet, comfortable interior includes a wide range of available features, including three rows of rich leather-appointed seating surfaces, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, Nissan Intelligent Key® with Push Button Start, multiple user memory settings and an advanced Bose® Audio System with 13 speakers!
My favorite feature of the Pathfinder has to be the one button press Automatic trunk opener!! You simple push a button and the trunk opens by itself!
And it’s a huge trunk as well! You can see the trunk in action in the video below!
You can also see it close by itself in the video above! You simply press this button on the trunk door and the trunk automatically closes! This would come in handy so many time when we’re out doing the groceries!
The all new Pathfinder gives a modern families the space and new technology they look for in a car. It’s perfect for me and my family of tech geeks and it’s also snazzy enough for a date night or night out with the girls. For a seven passenger SUV it gets gets 26 Miles Per Gallon on the highway, which is very good from what I hear for a car this size!
I hope we’ll be driving around in a New Nissan Pathfinder in 2013! A girl can dream can’t she?

Hubby and I own a Nissan Xterra. We love it so much that out of fairness, we switch off between the Xterra and our Camry, one week I get the truck, next week I get the Camry. (Which I might add, is a great car, too!)
