I you all remember when I was I was invited to check out the amazing sequel to one of our favorite games Epic Mickey! We got to preview the new Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two video game and I finally got the opportunity to review this game and I have to say it’s truly a must have for the Holidays!

Unlike the 1st version of this game, this version is available on Xbox 360, Playstation, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, And Wii U!

In “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two,” gamers will play as Mickey Mouse and for the first time ever, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first cartoon star, in an all-new adventure of creativity and discovery. It was created by industry luminary Warren Spector and Disney Interactive’s Junction Point game development studio, “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” returns the franchise to the Wii™ system from Nintendo, as well as expanding it to new HD consoles including the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the Wii U™ system.

I love that it’s now available for multiple game platforms as we have an Xbox 360®, 3DS, and Wii™ system in our house for the kids! I personally love the Nintendo Wii™ and 3DS version that I was given to review!

I’m hoping Santa can some how get us a Wii U™ system! But in the meantime I’m sure the kids will be thrilled to play Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two on Wii and Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion on 3DS especially with these amazing Epic Mickey Accessories Disney Interactive was kind enough to give us during our preview of the game!

Since we got those accessories for the Wii I figured we had to have something for the 3DS too so I went out and got this Disney Mickey Mouse Themed Character kit for the 3DS. It has a case and stylus for the 3DS since the Epic Mickey Brush Stylus isn’t out yet!

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is an amazing game that is a must have for any true Disney fan both Young and Old! The game is so rich with it’s story and graphics and it even allows the player to not only tell the story as they’d like, but they can also choose the outcome of the story. We’re a big gamer family, since I have a house of mostly males, and all feel this is a great feature of the game!

The game also pays tribute to Walt Disney by creating the duo of Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney’s first beloved character Oswald as the main characters of the game. As you saw in the pictures of the Epic Mickey Accessories I got for the game, Mickey Mouse uses his paintbrush and Oswald uses a remote in the game to save Wasteland.

This game is the sequel to Disney Epic Mickey and it’s filled with even more adventures and characters stories than the first game. Unlike the original game this new version has a moving camera that allows you to see what the character is seeing all around him and it also has incredible graphics and higher resolutions which make the worlds look visually stunning as you play! It’s unlike any other Disney themed game on the market!

In the Wii version of the game, Oswald has the ability to carry Mickey around as he uses his ears like a helicopter. It’s so cute to see little Mickey hanging off of him as they fly from one point to another. Together Mickey and Oswald do many great things as a team and I have to say they are the perfect duo. Their tools paint in roads, unlock doors, and defeat all the bad guys in Epic Mickey 2! You can also solve puzzles and find hidden Mickey’s through out the game! It’s truly a dream game for Disney fans.

My favorite version of Epic Mickey has to be the 3DS version as I personally love the 3D of the Nintendo 3DS and I also love the unique story this game has as opposed to the Wii Version!

The 3DS version has Mickey in a castle ruled by an evil witch that has appeared in the Wasteland. Within the castle, characters of the Disney universe, including Minnie Mouse, are in danger of disappearing forever. The game also has levels that feature the worlds of The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Aladdin and also allows Mickey to interact with beloved Disney characters like Jiminy Cricket as you can see above! I have to say I think I might keep this game for myself as I don’t want the kids to battle for it Christmas Morning and destroy it since I honestly love this game. The touchscreen of the 3DS allows for the tracing and illustration of a variety of objects.

Disney Epic Mickey: Power Of Illusion offers a special drawing and painting function that will allow players to create an interactive world by using the stylus to draw objects in the bottom screen that magically transform into classic Disney-style 2D illustrations. Utilizing the game’s unparalleled dual screen integration, players will then move their creations to the top screen where they are further transformed into beautiful, fully realized objects that pop off the screen in stunning 3D.

Players will utilize the core Disney Epic Mickey gameplay mechanic of paint and thinner while playing as Mickey Mouse in an attempt to save classic Disney Toon characters.

Players will engage in epic boss battles with familiar Disney villains using attacks involving the power of illusions to surprise players.

In between adventures, players can develop their own fortress by taking a small fort and expanding it into a thriving castle.
