DIY Giant Unicorn Cookie!

Hey All!

As you all know, I’m pretty much obsessed with rainbows and unicorns at the moment. I love them and I can’t get enough of them. After Valentine’s Day, I had this large heart shaped cookie pan that I didn’t want to just sit around not being used. I thought, well I could try and turn a heart into a unicorn. I think it came out super cute for my first time ever making a giant cookie like this.

I love my happy giant unicorn cookie. He’s almost too cute to eat.

If you want to make one too, here is how I made mine. Sorry there are no in process shots. This was a bit of an experiment that I wasn’t sure would work, so I didn’t get a chance to take them as I made it.

First you’ll roll two pieces of white fondant together to make the unicorn horn.

You’ll let the horn harden up and then you’ll spray it with your gold edible spray. You’ll let that completely try.

After you make your horn, you cut out two triangular shapes for the ears. Let those harden as well. Spray your edible gold spray onto your cake decorating brush and draw on the inner gold ear. Let the ears dry completely.

You’ll then make your heart shaped sugar cookie using the heart shaped pan. You’ll mix up your cookie dough according to your recipe or mix. Make sure to grease your pans with non-stick spray or butter so your cookie doesn’t stick to the pan. Once your cookie is done, let your cookie cool completely. Once your cookie is completely cool, you can begin decorating.

You’ll spread some white icing onto your cookie and then fold a large piece of rolled out white fondant onto it. You’ll shape the white fondant to your cookie heart.

You’ll then begin to pipe on your unicorn main. I used a mix of purple, pink and yellow icing. This is what takes the longest time.

Place your dried ears and horn into the top of the cookie into the mane.

With your black icing draw on your unicorn face. Sprinkle some rainbow edible glitter onto the mane and you’re done! How cute is that folks.

I did mine on a cake decorating board, so I can pick it up and move it easily. You can do the same or just do it right on your cookie sheet or if you have a big enough serving platter.

It was so hard to eat this since it was so cute, but it was tasty. If you have a major sweet tooth, this is the cookie for you!

I hope you love our DIY Giant Unicorn Cookie as much as I do!
