Water is an essential nutrient for life, but sodas, fruit drinks, sports drinks and other sugary beverages are crowding water out of kids’ diets. According to a recent study a little more than half of all children and adolescents aren’t getting enough hydration. Why not switch it up and cut out those sugary drinks this Halloween and opt for some healthy hydration instead. That’s one way to make your holiday celebrating a little healthier.

First you decide on what phrases you’d like to put on your trick-or-treat bags. I made bags that said “Happy Hollaween”, “Treat Yo’Self”, “Bootiful”, and “Treats Please”. What ever you decide will work perfectly. You then cut out your iron on letters and place them in the position you’d like them on your tote bags. I chose to put them on the center.

You then peel the letters off of the paper they come on and place them onto your canvas tote bags with the fuzzy soft side up.

You then place your electric iron on each phrase for 10 to 15 seconds to seal the letters to the tote bags. You then pass the iron over the letters one more time to make sure they are secured to the tote bags. You can also turn the bags inside out to iron the inside back of the letters to double secure the letters to your bags.
