DIY Shark Week Lollipops!

Hey All!

I don’t know about you, but I looooove me some Shark Week! It’s kicking off on July 23rd and I can’t wait. Did you hear Michael Phelps is going to race a shark as one of the shows this year? It’s going to be crazy and I can’t wait to watch! Each year I make some shark themed treats to enjoy as I watch and this year I decided to make some DIY Shark Week Lollipops! Who doesn’t love a cute sweet shark themed treat for Shark Week? I know I do! You could enjoy one for each day in Shark Week! They are so easy to make and are so fun to eat as well.

Here is what you’ll need to make them!

  • 18 Jolly Ranchers, blue
  • Airheads Candy, blue, red, orange, and green
  • 6 Gummy Sharks
  • 6 Sucker Sticks

First you preheat oven to 275 degrees!

You then unwrap the Airhead candy and cut thin pieces. You cut them about 2 inches long to resemble sea weed.

On a parchment lined baking sheet, place 3 unwrapped Jolly Rancher candies above each other making sure they touch. Repeat this with all the candies. (Make sure to leave space to add the sucker stick)

You’ll then place the Jolly Rancher candies in the oven for about 4-5minutes. Make sure to keep a close eye on them because you want to take them out just after they melt together. You then remove them from the oven and place a sucker stick on each one.

Let them set up for a few minutes, until they aren’t hot but still tacky. While they are still tacky, put 3-4 pieces of the sea weed and a shark on each one.

You put the shark on at a diagonal.

Let them finish cooling completely and they will harden up. They will then be ready to eat!

How fun are these babies! I’m counting the days until Shark Week, so I can munch on them!

I hope you enjoy this DIY Shark Week Lollipops as much as I do!
