Easy DIY Shamrock Gummies!

Hey All!

I don’t know about you, but my favorite candies tend to be gummy candies. I love gummies since they are usually made with real fruit juice and the flavors are usually very vivid with every bite. Since I love gummies so much, I decided to make some quick and easy DIY Shamrock Gummies to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day! In case you didn’t know, the holiday is around the corner, and you need to get your St. Patty’s Day treats in order. I threw this recipe together quickly, so don’t mind the photos as they aren’t my best. It’s the taste that counts folks!

Here is how you make these fun and easy to make treats!

  • 1 ½ cups Applesauce.
  • 3 Cups of Sugar broken into 2 ¼ cup Sugar for the recipe and 1 cup to roll gummy in.
  • Two 3oz. Boxes of Lime Jell-O.
  • 2 packs of Unflavored Gelatin.
  • 1 Small Shamrock Cookie Cutter.

First you mix all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat on your stove top. You have to stir constantly until it reaches a boil. Let it boil for one minute and then let it set.

Turn off the stove top and remove the saucepan from the heat and pour into a parchment lined 13×9 baking dish (This will allow for easier removal).

Once you’ve poured it all in, place the dish in refrigerator for about 2 hours or until stiffens and is set.

Once it’s set, remove the gummies sheet from the pan and dust top with sugar.

Using your small shamrock cookie cutter, cut out shamrock shapes. After the first cut-out, dip cookie cutter in sugar before the next one (It won’t stick as much if you do this).

Take each gummy shamrock (after cutting it out) and roll in sugar to coat the bottom and sides. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Once all your gummies are cut out and sugared, store them in an airtight container or serve immediately.

That’s it you’re done! Super easy to make and very tasty as well!

I hope you enjoy these Easy DIY Shamrock Gummies as much as I do!
