Ingredients
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Dozen eggs ( Some For Boiling, 1 for glazing, 1 for the dough)
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine, melted
  • Multicolored Sprinkles
  • Pastry Brush
  • Parchment Paper
  • Food Coloring
  • 1 tablespoon of Vinegar (For Dying Eggs)
Instructions
  1. First you boil your Eggs for 5-8 minutes. You don't want to boil them all the way as they will be baked and hardened with the bread.
  2. Then you dye your egg in a small bowl with boiling water, 5 drops food coloring (which every color you'd like. I'm using pink) and 1 tablespoon of Vinegar. Mix it up while boiling and then place the egg into the colored water. Leave in the water until desired color darkness is reached. If you do pink and you want it to be really pink, then you'll leave it in longer.
  3. Once eggs are dyed to your liking remove from water and let dry for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. You then heat your oven to 400°F. Stir Bisquick mix, milk, 2 tablespoons sugar and the egg in medium bowl until soft dough forms. Place dough on surface generously dusted with Bisquick mix; gently roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Shape into a ball; knead 5 times.
  5. Roll or pat dough into 6½-inch square, ½ inch thick. Cut dough into 12 strips and roll them into ropes. Take two ropes and braid them together, forming a circle with the braid. Repeat the process for all the ropes forming round braided circles.
  6. Place 1 colored boiled egg in the center of the braided dough circles. Then place bread on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  7. Beat an egg and brush it over the braided dough to glaze. Drizzle sprinkles over the glazed dough and then put into the oven.
  8. Bake 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.
