Hey All!

Last month we had the amazing opportunity to take an adventure with the 2015 Kia Sedona SX-L. We took the car to San Diego Comic Con 2015 and it was awesome! It’s the perfect family road trip car as it’s very spacious and it has versatile Slide-N-Stow™ seats, which allow you to customize the space you have inside the car. When we go to Comic Con, we need a lot of space since we come back with a lot of geeky goodies that we buy or get as swag.

The car has an automatic sliding doors, which come in handy when your carrying huge bags from Comic Con.

The windows on the inside have these built in window visors that were perfect for blocking out the sun and holding up our Comic Con signs.

We put “Comic Con or Bust” signs in each window as we drove up to San Diego. We thought it would be fun and we did get a lot of honks when we got closer to San Diego.

We had our Death Star car dice on the rear view mirror as we drove as well.

The car has an amazing selection of navigation capabilities and satellite radio, which helped keep us entertained as it guided us to San Diego Comic Con.

There are also controls for the doors, trunk, sun roof, etc. right at your finger tips near the rear view mirror. It’s very handy when you’re at a rest stop and need to quickly get something out of the trunk. The driver doesn’t have to get out to open the trunk.

You can also open the trunk by just going near it with your keys when you’re standing outside the trunk area. Check out this video below to see it in action.

You can also close it with out using any energy by just pushing a button on the trunk door! I love this feature so darn much!

The car also had a great push button start. You just have to have the car key inside the car to start the car.

The  2015 Kia Sedona SX-L made the trip to San Diego Comic Con all the more pleasant. It was a smooth and easy drive and it also was great on gas for a car of it’s size. We only needed to fill up when we were driving back home after Comic Con. One tank of gas was enough gas to get us to San Diego and drive us to the hotel and to the convention center for the four days. That’s pretty amazing in my book.

I’ve always wanted to take a picture of the cars we bring around the convention center, but the streets are all closed off.

You can’t park anywhere near the convention center, unless you’re a promo car or have a special permit.

There are so many people there, it would be even more congested with cars stopping every where. You have to leave the space for the endless lines of people that form. This line you see below was just to get into the Comic Con Exhibit Hall in the morning.

The streets are also closed down because brands build events like this obstacle course right in the middle of the street in front of the convention center.

Below you can see the Sharknado 3 parade that just suddenly erupted in the middle of the street.

There were stilt walkers and ladies dressed as sharks handing out foam saws and Sharknado hats.

You never know what’s going to pop up in the middle of the street during Comic Con.

Another example of this was these Outlander guys in quilts screaming at the top of their lungs in the middle of the street…

Inside the Convention Center we saw this amazing Dare Devil which I just had to share.

On Thursday morning we drove to Donut Bar and got ourselves some Comic Con donuts. They make special donuts just for Comic Con. They are the best donuts ever!

We needed these so we could eat them as we battled the Hall H line. This is the line to end all lines at Comic Con. We were in Line for almost 2 days to see the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens panels. Our main goal was to get to Star Wars and Victory was ours.

Hall-H-Line

We succeeded as we made it into Hall H and the Star Wars panel was beyond amazing! It was worth the two days in line. They took all 7,000 people to a fan concert where they gave everyone light sabers. It was a sight to see as you can see in the picture below.

I’ve never seen anything like this and I’m not going to lie and say we didn’t sob a little just seeing it. The original cast of Star Wars and the new cast for the Force Awakens was on the stage as the San Diego Symphony Orchestra played the music of Star Wars.

It was beyond epic! The show ended with a spectacular fire works show. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had at a Comic Con!

This year was by far the best time we’ve ever had at San Diego Comic Con and we couldn’t have done it with out our  2015 Kia Sedona SX-L! We lived out of the car when we were on line for 2 days for Star Wars. It was our storage space to keep all the geeky stuff we got so we didn’t have to lug it around.

Walking-Dead

It also had enough room to get everything back home that we got easily. It fit our luggage and everything else we got perfectly.

All of this plus another suitcase and a few more bags fit inside the car easily. That’s how spacious this car is!

Just to give you an idea of how big these bags are, my whole body fits inside one of them!
