Are you looking for a great and fabulous easy gift to give those special little girls in your life this Holiday Season? Well How about an amazing App for their Ipads or Iphones? I don’t know if you all remember my previous post about this app, but I highly recommend an App called The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee in the past and I’m recommending it again for the Holidays! It comes to us from the fabulous Singer-songwriter and mother Alicia Keys! It’s a beautiful App and I’m not just saying this because they were kind enough to send me one of the most beautiful early Christmas gifts ever to play the app on with my niece!
The app is inspired by Alicia’s relationship with her own grandmother and she wanted to make an app that helps children express themselves! And this storytelling and journal app does that and a whole lot more!
The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee tells the story of a young African American girl and her grandmother. It’s a beautiful story and so great to see an app staring a character of color that my kids can relate to being a minority ourselves. It also allows you to make the app your personal journal and you can also learn to read music with this amazing app. The App also has a setting for daily reminders to tell your kids it’s time to write a journal with words or drawings so they don’t forget to keep up their journal.
Alicia Keys teamed up with Bento Box Interactive, to create this one-of-a-kind storytelling app and they did a fantastic job.
The App costs about $3.99 and again is available for both iPhone and iPad! I highly recommend it for the Holidays!
