As you all know there is tons of music featured in your favorites shows. You often find music old and new being used on shows. I often discover new and amazing artists because their music is featured on a show I watch. The WB shows were always my favorite growing up since they always had young hip bands on all their shows. They keep that tradition alive on the CW with One Tree Hill!
One Tree Hill is one of those shows that I’ve discovered so many amazing artists on. They always the best music to be featured in every episode. In Season 8, they decided to do some switching up with the theme song! The opening song on One Tree Hill is “I Don’t Wanna Be” performed by Gavin DeGraw and in season 8 it was rerecorded by different artists in this season. Kate Voegele and Aimee Mann are some of the artists that re-recorded the song for the opening credits of One Tree Hill. I think this was a fresh and new and inventive way to freshen up a show and bring something new to the table with the show. It almost made each episode feel like you were watching a different show since the theme song had a different artist each time.
Normally I don’t like when they mess with the theme song on my shows but in this instance I thought it was very unique.
