Hey All!
We recently had our lovely fun in the sun family field day and it was a watermelon themed picnic. I’m sure you remember the post I recently shared with my inspiration mood board for the picnic and all the fabulous JELL-O gelatin snacks we were going to enjoy. I’m thrilled to once again be teaming up with JELL-O brand to create another colorful family field day out! We had a blast at our green watermelon themed picnic/family field day! It was the cutest picnic I’ve ever had! My niece came to visit and it was the perfect opportunity to enjoy a fun day outside!
We headed to our local park to enjoy some frolicking and a picnic on the lovely green grass. I brought along an adorable picnic blanket that says, “You are my favorite flavor” on it. It was the perfect blanket to bring since we were enjoying some of our favorite JELL-O lime flavor gelatin snacks.
I also brought along some fun games that we could all enjoy. I made a custom corn hole yard game that has a watermelon theme to it.
How cute is that board? I love how it came out. I made it simply by adding vinyl pieces to the corn hole board to make them have a watermelon look. You can see how to make it for yourself HERE.
I also bought some green smiley face and watermelon balls to kick around for fun.
To relax my head on and take in some sun while the kidlets frolic, I brought my watermelon pillow. It was only fitting to bring it for a watermelon themed picnic.
I carried most of our JELL-O gelatin snacks and games in this fun watermelon cooler bag.
To eat our JELL-O gelatin snacks on, I got these fun watermelon printed plates and cups.
I also got these adorable fruit and watermelon printed forks. How perfect are they with the watermelon plates?!
For the picnic foods, we enjoyed sipping on JELL-O Spritzers for a fabulous JELL-O lime flavor gelatin drink. Yes, you can drink JELL-O gelatin!
I placed the drinks in little glass milk bottles since it was the perfect mini size for small hands to enjoy. They also matched our watermelon theme perfectly.
We also had some JELL-O Fruit Juice Snacks to munch on! Another fun green treat!
These JELL-O gelatin drinks and snacks were a big hit with the family.
They also loved the watermelon giant cookie and…
The watermelon lollipops that they could take home in a watermelon treat bag.
Before we got to munch on all these goodies, we did some beanbag tossing to our watermelon corn hole.
We also got to play some catch with the watermelon and smiley face balls.
Let’s not forget that we, of course, had to play some kickball as well.
There is nothing like some fun in the sun to work up an appetite. Luckily we had our JELL-O gelatin treats waiting for us.
We took a break from all the frolicking and kicked off our shoes and sipped on some yummy JELL-O Spritzers.
It’s the perfect drink to cool down with on a warm summer day after lots of play.
The JELL-O Fruit Juice Snacks and cookie were the perfect snacks to recharge with for some more fun play in the park.
It was a relaxing way to spend a beautiful summer day. Any time I can get to see my family while enjoying some sunshine and tasty JELL-O gelatin treats is a perfect day for me.
When it is made with JELL-O, it is made with love. There are thousands of things to make with JELL-O. But there is only one way to make JELL-O. And that is with love.

It all turned out just so cute. We had a watermelon themed birthday party for daughter when she turned one. I still have her “One in a Melon” banner somewhere.
The watermelon theme is so cute! I think I’ll use it for my twins’ birthday next summer. I’ve always wanted to make a watermelon flavored cake using Jello for the flavoring.
