Outlander Is Coming To Time Warner Cable!

Hey All!

I love when some of my favorite books become a TV show or Movie. I’m happy to share I recently got the opportunity to view the first two episodes of Time Warner Cable’s upcoming series Outlander. I was thrilled to get this sneak peak as I’ve been very excited to see this show.

If you’re not familiar with the books or show, Outlander follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate affair is ignited that tears Claire’s heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.

The Outlander Series is exclusively brought to viewers by Time Warner Cable on the Starz channel. The series is adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books and spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history, and adventure in one epic tale.

The show truly showcases the epic tale of Outlander. After watching the first two episodes I was already yearning to see the next episode. I love these kinds of epic shows. The storyline of the show captures the feeling of the books. The set design, locations, and costumes on the show are all fantastic. The opening shot of the landscape in the first episode was beautiful!

The contrast and look of the show and the time periods showcased are amazing. The cast is not only fantastic in their respective roles, they are all VERY attractive which will certainly keep me watching. Who doesn’t love a man in a kilt! It’s the right amount of drama and suspense. There are some graphic scenes which is to be expected for a cable show. It’s not a kids show, just for your information if you plan on watching when your kids are around. It’s a great show that will surely become that guilty pleasure show to watch.

Outlander premieres on Starz August 9th at 9PM EST/PST. You can get Starz and the Outlander TV series through Time Warner Cable. I can’t wait to catch the series again and see episode 3!
