CLOSED-Pinterest For Dummies! Great For Soon To Be Pinaholics! #Book #Review

Hey All!

If you haven’t heard about Pinterest, then you must be living under a rock. I’m a pinterest-a-holic! I have done over 8000 pins, 8112 to be exact. I have over 1500 followers on Pinterest and I’ve been nick named the fastest Pinner in the west. Yes that is how much I love Pinterest. Even while doing over 8000, I still don’t know all the ins and outs of Pinterest. I was over joyed to find out I would have the opportunity to review Kelby Carrā€™s newest book, Pinterest for Dummies! If you’d really like to learn anything and everything about Pinterest since it has so many great craft ideas and recipes you can use, then you’ll want to definitely pick up this book. It’s a very easy read and I got the easy travel edition so you can easily carry around in your bag to read.

The Pinterest For Dummies, Portable EditionĀ will help new users get started creating their Pinterest boards, findingĀ people to follow,Ā and pinning bookmarks.

The book will cover:

What is Pinterest: Pinterest is a visual collection of bookmarks that you organize into virtual pinboards. If you see something on a blog, your favorite retailer’s website, or even something that you take a picture of with your smartphone, you can pin it to one of your Pinterest boards for future reference. Pinterest is alsoĀ a social network. You can follow other users and be followed by others. You can repin something another user has pinned, or you can like it or comment on it.

Who is behind it: Pinterest was founded by Ben Silberman, a former product specialist at Google; Evan Sharp, a former product designer at Facebook; and Paul Sciarra, a former associate at VC firm Radius Ventures and founder of social app development company Cold Brew Labs.

  • How much does it cost?: Pinterest is free to use, but you must be invited by a member to set up an account.
  • What Pinterest is about and why you should use it
  • Getting your account set up
  • Setting up boards and getting organized
  • Pinning, repinning and giving credit where credit is due
  • Using hashtags, liking pins,Ā commenting, finding people to follow, checking out Tastemakers, sharing pins with your other social networks, and using search

PinterestĀ For Dummies will helpĀ newĀ usersĀ get up to speed and on their way to pinning in no time!

This book has helped me optimize my pins and boards and has shown me how to properly give credit to my photos that I pin. It’s helped me understand Pinterest so much better than I did before. I highly recommend it!
