Simple Spookie Recipe- Mummy Dogs! -Swaggerific Halloween Guide Feature

Hey all,

I wanted to share a simple yummy spooky recipe I use every year at my Halloween Party! MUMMY DOGS! They are basically Hot dogs wrapped in Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. They are so quick and easy to make and they taste amazing! They are a great finger food for Halloween.

I originally found this recipe in one of those small Pillsbury Halloween Recipe books you can buy at the grocery store when you’re waiting to check out. They are usually by the TV guide and magazines.

I also did some searching and found the recipe online. The recipe on the Pillsbury site makes them a little differently than I do since they add cheese, but please also check out their Mummy Dogs recipe at this link:

So to make My Crescent Mummy Dogs it will take you about 20 minutes total max.

You need the following Ingredients:

2 cans of (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet.

One pack of large hot dogs that contains 8-10 hot dogs

Cooking spray

And Mustard or ketchup, if desired

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 375°F.

If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate at perforations, creating 4 rectangles. Press perforations to seal. If using dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut into 4 rectangles. With knife or kitchen scissors, cut each rectangle lengthwise into 10 pieces, making a total of 40 pieces of dough.

Wrap 4 pieces of dough around each hot dog and 1/4 slice of cheese to look like “bandages,” stretching dough slightly to completely cover hot dog. About 1/2 inch from one end of each hot dog, separate “bandages” so hot dog shows through for “face.”

On ungreased large cookie sheet, place wrapped hot dogs and spray dough lightly with cooking spray. Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until dough is light golden brown and hot dogs are hot. With mustard, draw features on “face.”

That’s all you do to make these amazing Halloween treats. You can serve them to your family or to your Halloween party guests. You can also fill little cups up with mustard and ketchup for your guests or family to dunk their Mummy Dogs in. These treats are sure to be a great addition to your Halloween this year if you make them.

Hope you enjoy making these Halloween Mummy Dogs just as much as I do!
