The Milk Truck Comes To Town! #Positivismo

Hey All!

I’ve shared about my love of Milk and how drinking milk before bed may help you to sleep better. I’ve also shared our own family bedtime sleep rituals and encouraged you to read to your children before bed using the new collection of fun bedtime stories. To further the effort to help remind parents to give their children Milk before bedtime, the California Milk Processor Board’s Milk Truck visited the neighborhood of none other than my fellow Positivity Ambassador and friend Presley’s Pantry (Nicole Presley) last week. They handed out lots of Milk to lots of adorable kids!

It was kind of like an ice cream truck but with Milk! More than 50 of Nicole’s family, friends and neighbors joined the festivities as the Milk Truck made its way through her East Los Angeles neighborhood. It must have been such a fun time for the kids of the neighborhood.

What was the purpose of the milk truck you ask?

The idea of the milk truck was developed around the popular tradition of drinking a glass of milk before bedtime. As the milk truck made its way through the  neighborhood, it played the “Ya es hora de ir a la cama” song in an effort to remind parents to send their kids to bed early with a bedtime story and a glass of milk. This type of “bedtime ritual” can help parents make sure that their children sleep better while creating special, loving moments between parent and child.

You can check out the video below of this fun event:

I wish the Milk Truck would have come to my neighborhood as it looks like it was such a fun event!

Everyone looks like they had an amazing time with the Milk Truck and singing along to the “Ya es hora de ir a la cama” song, while they enjoyed flavored milk. A great and fun reminder to get that glass of Milk before bed!
