I’m sure you all remember when I shared my amazing time at the Sleep Number Store not too long ago. I learned so much that day and couldn’t wait to try my own Sleep Number Bed! Well my dream has finally come true as I got the exciting opportunity to review and own an M9 bed from Sleep Number! I can’t tell you how excited I was when they were delivering this bed! We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I have to tell you all about everything that happened and how much we love it!
The delivery team was awesome. I’ve never seen a delivery team move so quickly. They were on time and ready to build my bed. It was a unique experience as the bed and mattress did not come like other mattresses would come. It came piece by piece in boxes like you see below.
They were very professional and kept themselves on a very tight schedule as they carried each piece of the bed up the stairs and into our apartment.
We had cleaned out our master bedroom and moved our bed already so they had an empty space to work in! But if you ever got yourself a Sleep Number bed and needed to get rid of your old bed they will actually remove your old bed if you purchase a bed with installation.
They began to assemble the Sleep Number bed piece by piece in our bedroom. I know we could have never gotten it done like these guys if we tried to do it ourselves.
They worked feverishly for about 30-45 minutes. They started off with the base of the bed which is a black thick kind of plastic that can hold up hundreds of pounds the worker said.
Once they got the base set up they moved on to the mattress.
They unrolled each piece of the mattress out of the sleep number bags.
They built the layers of the mattress piece by piece.
And when they were done it they gave a crash course on how to use the bed. Yes you have to learn how to use your bed so you sleep the best on your Sleep Number bed. Frankly, I wanted to learn how to use it so we don’t break it since it is our first Sleep Number bed.
Don’t worry the instructions were super easy and you do have a manual that answers every question you might have! The instruction are more about how to use the remotes and if you ever need to move your bed.
They cleaned up all the trash from the boxes and took it with them, which I thought was amazing! You just watched them as they worked and didn’t have to do anything but get your bed ready for your awesome nights sleep!
Sleep Number was kind enough to also send me this great Total Protection Mattress Pad for our mattress as I want to make sure we take great care of our Sleep Number bed. This Pad makes sure your bed is spill proof which is a must have if you have kids! It’s also custom made for their Memory beds. It’s thin and keeps the coolness of the bed. The gentleman who I met with at the store said, “you should treat these mattresses like a car since it’s a big investment and you want to do everything you can to make sure you maintain it and keep it in perfect condition.”
I totally agree and I think this Mattress Pad is a must have if you get yourself one of these beds! I digress…
We couldn’t wait to sleep on it since I personally suffer from a lot of back pain. I learned that the memory foam felt a little different than the mattress at the store so I played around with my Sleep Number. I think I’m more comfortable at a 35 as opposed to the 30 I was given at the store.
Since we’ve been sleeping on it I’m happy to say we have NO back pain when we wake up in the morning and we are sleeping deeper and longer. We don’t want to get out of bed in the morning! We love our bed! The second I lay down in this bed I pass out! The lights can still be on and I’m already sleeping if I’m in this bed.

We need this since it’s October and still 100 degrees here is sunny California. And if for whatever nutty reason you don’t like the bed, they offer a 30 day in-home trial in which you can try it for 30 days and return it if you don’t like it. How great is that?
We love our sleep number bed and would never return it! It’s truly the best and most unique bed in stores. We’re taking very good care of ours and we’ll be sleeping on it for a VERY long time. Once you go Sleep Number you don’t go back! I highly recommend them if you’re seeking a new bed for your home!

Ours comes Sat I can not wait! I don’t have a mattress pad and was worried it would mess with the CoolFit glad to know it doesn’t. I think I should go get one before it arrives.
Waking up satisfied is very important in considering what bed to buy. Some beds cause back pains in the morning due to sometimes uneven contours and uncomfortable firmness of the mattress.
