Hey All!
As you can tell by the picture above, we’re huge Star Wars nerds in my house. The whole family love Star Wars, but I’m by far the biggest Star Wars geek of them all. I don’t have a problem being able to geek out on Star Wars and watch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story any time I want. My family is always happy to watch anything Star Wars with me. I’m a very lucky gal, but if you find you’re not lucky enough to have a family who shares your Star Wars passion,Ā Iām partnering with the amazing folks at Netflix to share five tips on how to persuade your kids, significant other, or even your own parents to watch something new on Netflix!
Here are my tips.
1. Distraction:
I’m not ashamed of distracting my family with Star Wars themed candy or sprinkle covered treats! Sure they’ll be on a major sugar high, but they’ll be too preoccupied with their tasty treats to notice you’ve taken control of the Netflix!
2. Use food once again to showcase how awesome the movie is! Like make these death star chocolates to showcase how awesome Rogue One is and why everyone should watch it!
3. Bring up the one character your kids are obsessed with like R2-D2 and tell them he’s in the movie you want to watch. That will make them surely want to watch what ever you’re wanting to watch.
4. If you’re trying to convince your parents and they are not big on Sci-Fi movies, point out the actors that they do know in Rogue One and showcase how awesome the movie is because they are in it!
And last but not least.
5. If you’re a parent and your kids don’t want to watch Rogue One with you on Netflix, say “too bad so sad” and turn it on! You’re kids are not the boss of you! You’re the parent and you do what you want! You’re the king and or queen of your house and you pay for that Netflix! When they are old enough to pay for their own Netflix, then they can control what they want to see! Sorry kids!
