Did you know Gallo Family Vineyards’ is celebrating National Moscato Day on May 9th? In case you didn’t know Moscato is an amazing wine bursting with sweet flavors such as peach, honey, and ripe citrus. Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato is a deliciously sweet wine that we love to drink when we have company over. To celebrate National Moscato Day I decided to have a little wine and cheese girls night in party to catch up with some friends. It was mostly the ladies but the husband was invited too since he loves his wine.
We had 3 flavors of the Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato which included WHITE MOSCATO!
The White Moscato is a delightfully sweet white wine that has hints of peach, honey, and ripe citrus which make this a refreshing beverage. If it’s served chilled it brings out the grape’s full taste. It can also be combined with a lemonade mix for a lovely cocktail.
The RED MOSCATO was a hit! It’s a medium bodied red which maintains it’s peach and citrus elements with a bright berry finish. It’s perfect for our “cheese and wine” pairing. You can also try it with a Gorgonzola for a fabulous combo drink.
My personal favorite was the PINK MOSCATO. Of course I would love it since it’s pink. It share’s the fruit flavors of white and red, but adds a hint of berry and orange. This rose-colored wine is best served cool. You can pair it with your favorite ice cream sundae for a delicious and sweet treat.
We had a blast catching up and munching on some tasty cheddar and Gouda cheeses along with some seasoned crackers.
It was the perfect treat to munch on with our Moscato wine. Wine and cheese is always the perfect combination in my book and I’ll use any excuse to host an event so I can enjoy both.
I just have to take a moment to point out how adorable the gold elephants and pineapples are on my mini serving dishes.
They too were a hit! I also wanted to add some extra fun to our Moscato glasses so I places some cute gold pineapple and…
Elephant drink stirrers in our drinks. It made the cocktail hour all the more festive in my opinion.
There was lots of toasting, laughing, and girl talk had on this fun night. The Pink was the favorite as it was the first to go. What can I say, We love the pinks! The Red was the second to go and we still have some left of the white Moscato. We’re saving it for that relaxing time after a long day of work.
