Hey All!
On my recent Disney week long media trip extravaganza, I had the amazing opportunity to meet with some of the amazing women who play moms on some of ABC TV’s most popular shows. I was thrill to get this opportunity as I got the chance to meet and speak with some of my favorite tv moms!
I first met with Wendi McLendon-Covey of THE GOLDBERGS (@wendimclendonco on Twitter). You can see me and Wendi above. She and I are like total besties now as I got to interview her the week before this event, so we have bonded after seeing each other so many times. You probably know Wendi from her hilarious performance in the movie Bridesmaids and in Single Moms Club. She stars in the hit show the THE GOLDBERGS and is as funny as ever on the show. She’s also hilarious to chat with. She’s so easy to relate to and not to mention she has fabulous style!
I then got the opportunity to chat with Amanda Fuller of LAST MAN STANDING (@amandafuller27 on Twitter)! She too was so fun to chat with. We bonded over gossiping about the Walking Dead! She actually has a friend on the show and I shared with her my thoughts on the character her friend plays, but that will be our little secret.
I was most looking forward to chatting with Ming-Na Wen of MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. (@MingNa on Twitter). Obviously if you couldn’t tell by my wearing my S.H.I.E.L.D. t-shirt to this event. I couldn’t wait to meet her! She was so nice and down to earth. We chatted about the future of the show and her daughters college adventures and her love of Thor and Chris Hemsworth! Who doesn’t love Chris! If you saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier recently you’re like every one else including Ming is wondering what the future of Agents will be. She didn’t even know. She asked the producers the same question as she feared they were out of a job. I can certainly see why she would be afraid as the show is called MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. and there is no more S.H.I.E.L.D.!
The show will continue and I will be glued to see how it all unfolds! It’s going to be spectacular. We laughed, we hugged, we followed each other on Twitter! She’s amazing to chat with! I’m even a bigger fan now of Agent MAY!
We also chatted with Patricia Heaton of THE MIDDLE (@PatriciaHeaton on Twitter). She’s played so many memorable moms on tv.
And lastly we chatted with Malin Akerman of TROPHY WIFE (@MalinAkerman on Twitter). As we were chatting we quickly realized we can so be sisters! We have the same color eyes and almost the same shaped face and mouth. It was super weird but of course we had to take a selfie as proof! Do you think we look alike? I do! She’s of course much taller then me, but non the less I’m happy to have any resemblance to some one so fabulous. We scarfed down huge meatballs that were being served and discussed how awesome having a Muppet wedding on the show is and how I’m having a Muppet wedding myself.
We had a little time to chat with Jami Gertz of THE NEIGHBORS as well (who doesn’t have a twitter account). We chatted about her days on the set of the Movie Twister and how she’s had such a long great career!
It was so great to spend the evening with these amazingly talented women who bring such great mom characters to life on ABC!
