I recently had the opportunity to sit down with my family and get a sneak viewing of the new streaming show Annedroids. It’s Amazon Studiosā third original kids series that is aimed at children ages 4-7 and debuted on July 25th on Prime Instant Video. Annedroids is a science based-action adventure series that follows eleven-old genius and kid-scientist Anne, who has invented and built her own amazing androids, and her friends and kid assistants Nick and Shania. Together the kid trio make amazing scientific discoveries while undertaking the biggest experiment of all: growing up.
Annedroids was created by JJ Johnson. The talent behind the characters includes Addison Holley as āAnneā and Adrianna Di Liello as her friend āShaniaā.
Annedroids, like all of Amazonās childrenās programs, is designed to develop creative thinking in children and has been tested to ensure they achieve this goal. Amazonās goal is to inspire lifelong learners and provide children with the skills that will help them find personal and professional satisfaction in their future.
Earlier this summer, Amazon Studios released two additional childrenās series: a stop-motion animated series encouraging creative scientific discovery called Tumble Leaf and an interactive art adventure for preschoolers called Creative Galaxy.
Amazon keeps putting out great programs that me and my family can enjoy together. This show reminds me of a show version of the movie The Sandlot. Not that it has to do anything with baseball, but the way that it has a group of kids that come together and have their own little hide out aka Anne’s Lab. It’s like The Sandlot meets Robots with some girls on the team. Even though I only have boys in my home most of the time (When I’m not taking care of my Niece) I appreciated that the show showcased that boys and girls can become great friends and girls can be equals to boys. This show will definitely help give boys a sense of respect for women at an early age.
Anne the main character who has built her own Annedroids and robots is a genius kid scientist. She befriends Nick (who is new and town) and Shania (Nick’s Neighbor) after they discover her secret backyard lab. The three join together to bring P.A.L to life. A Personal Android Lifeform that Anne has been struggling to bring to life. They have many fun adventures together as the series continues.
My nephew is 4 now and has a strong obsession with Robots, so I figured he would enjoy this show. Most of the shows he watches are animated and mostly educational, but I was curious to see if he would be able to pay attention and get this show. I was pleasantly surprised to see it did hold his attention. As soon as he saw a robot peeking out from the wall at Nick he was hooked.
He loves P.A.L and I’m not sure if he was actually paying attention to what was going on in the 1st episode or if he just enjoyed seeing all the Annedroids and Robots. All I know is that he enjoyed it and wanted to see the next episode. He calls it Robots since he can’t say Annedroids right. We binge watched all the 6 episodes that they have to stream! God I love my Amazon Prime!
The show is a very entertaining and smart kids show that you should definitely check out if you have Amazon Prime Instant Video! I think you and your kids will really enjoy it.

I didn’t even know they were producing shows on Amazon. I do have Prime and I love it too!
