An Amazing Day At The Kings Hawaiian Bread Bakery! #KingsHawaiian #KHspreadsAloha

Hey All!

A few weeks ago I was one of about 25 special bloggers who had the amazing opportunity to visit the Kings Hawaiian bakery here in California. First off, I can’t tell you how excited I was for this opportunity since we LOVE this bread. Love is an understatement! We use the bread to make our sandwiches, french toast, hamburger sliders, bread pudding, and so much more. We even eat their rolls as our dinner rolls. I digress…

We got the amazing opportunity to learn first hand how this amazing business began and grew into the amazing brand it is today from the Taira family. This is a family run business and it’s been passed down from generation to generation. We heard some of the family stories from the CEO of the company Mark Taira (the son of King’s Hawaiian founder Robert R. Taira). He grew up working side-by-side with his relatives as a young boy at the family’s original bakery in Hilo, Hawaii and helped King’s Hawaiian maintain it’s Hawaiian values, including hospitality, integrity and a devotion to family.

We also heard from Courtney Taira, granddaughter of King’s Hawaiian founder Robert R. Taira and Mark’s daughter, who serves as principal spokesperson and leads consumer care for King’s Hawaiian. She thoughtfully and personally responds to consumer questions and comments and creates a lot of the amazing recipes that you can find on their amazing website www.kingshawaiian.com.

Mark and his team personally gave us a tour of the bakery and show us how this amazing bread was made. This is me and Mark below!

They then treated us to the most amazing catered lunch I’ve ever had. It was unique as they had some amazing food trucks come to the event and each truck served or used Kings Hawaiian products as an ingredient of their food.

You can imagine how excited we all were to see these amazing food trucks as well as these amazing platters of deserts.

There was so much to eat and eat I did! The food was AMAZING! It was some of the best food truck  food I’ve ever had as well as some of the best deserts I’ve ever had! I ate so much that I could barely walk!

They also allowed us to ship little four packs of breads to our family and friends in order to share the the Aloha of Kings Hawaiian! How amazing is that! I know everyone who got their package was thrilled!!!

And it didn’t end there! They sent us home with a box filled with a ton of amazing Kings Hawaiian products! The box had everything from candy, to coffee, to cookies, to rolls, sandwich rolls, hamburger rolls, hot dog buns, and more! All made by Kings Hawaiian!

I can’t thank Kings Hawaiian enough for such an amazing event and once in a lifetime opportunity! I have the best time and it only made me love this brand even more!

OMG! That all looked amazing! You are sooooo lucky. I keep wanting to go to the King’s restaurant in LA but I haven’t made it yet. I had a friend pick up a full sheet cake (so I could have plenty of leftovers for myself later) for my daughter’s first birthday and drive it down to San Diego! It was the BEST!
