CLOSED-Beyond Coastal Sunscreen Review & Giveaway! #GIVEAWAY #WIN #REVIEW

Hey All!

When my family and I used to live in NYC, we didn’t really walk around in the summer times since walking the pavement of NYC can be ridiculously hot. The heat is very humid there during the summer months and it’s just not fun. When we left New York City for Sunny California we knew we would have to start wearing a ton of sunscreen out here. You can’t really walk around Los Angeles with out it, especially around the spring and summer months. One of our favorite things to do during this time of year is walk around all the street fairs. It’s street fair season in the summer and I love every second of it. Spending all that time out side walking through the fairs we’ll have to wear a ton of sunscreen.

You can imagine how excited I was when I had the opportunity to try some amazing Natural sunscreen from Beyond Coastal. Its almost summer and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been testing the products I got as we take our weekend hikes.

You need to have some good SPF when you’re hiking under those strong rays. In case you didn’t know SPF means Sun Protection Factor and indicates how well a sunscreen protects you from UVB rays, which cause sunburn. Dermatologists recommend SPF 30 for maximum protection. SPFs higher than 30 offer a false sense of protection and cause people to think they can stay out longer. Rather than choose an ultra-high SPF, apply sunscreen generously. Reapply every two hours, or more if getting wet or sweating.

I have been trying an amazing variety their products like the Active Sunscreen SPF 30, which is Beyond Coastal’s best-selling sunscreen. The SPF 30 traditional sport sunscreen blocks 97% of UVB rays and protects from UVA rays with Avobenzone. It’s also moisturizing, water resistant, and rubs in clear.

I also got…

  • The Natural Clear Sunscreen SPF 30! This sunscreen goes on clear without leaving a trace of white. It received EWG’s best ranking in 2011. Protects with 20% zinc oxide for broad spectrum protection. SPF 30 blocks 97% of UVB rays. Moisturizing, water resistant.
  • Natural Sunscreen for Kids SPF 30! It’s Safe, clean and non-irritating all-natural protection for kids on the go. Protects with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for broad spectrum protection. SPF 30 blocks 97% of UVB rays. Moisturizing, water resistant. No harmful chemicals. Aloe and shea butter nourish skin.
  • The Active Face Stick. Simple and healthy with only 12 ingredients. SPF 30 blocks 97% of UVB rays and Avobenzone protects from UVA rays. Moisturizing, water resistant, rubs in clear. Easy non-messy application and works great on kids.
  • And my favorite the Lip Balm! It’s a simple healthy beeswax-based lip balm needs only 11 ingredients to repair and restore cracked lips. SPF 15 blocks 93% of UVB rays and Avobenzone protects from UVA rays.

The Lip Balm is by far my favorite along with the Natural Clear Sunscreen. These products are completely absorbed into the skin and don’t really leave behind that sticky residue feeling that some sunscreens do. I love that Beyond Coastal products are Gluten Free, Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free, Oxybenzone Free, Paraben Free and Oil Free. They are a great Natural Alternative for Sunscreen and I highly recommend their products!
