As you all know Back to school season is here! I’m so glad to share that Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and Disney have partnered to launch the Tools for Back to School initiative. This initiative features a pop-quiz style game, where supplies are donated to BGCA for every correct answer you score. This is such a fabulous and easy way to donate by just playing a simple game! I love the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA)! I grew up in the inner city of NYC and I remember the BGCA helping all the kids in my neighborhood find activities to keep them from getting in trouble on the streets. It’s an amazing program that I’m so thankful is still around today!

Since it’s back to school you’d want all your new clothing purchases to do something good and to teach your kids to do something good right? I know I prepare our kids for back to school by making out a list of what the kids need for each class or for the sports they will be playing in the school year. I make sure they have all the books they need and all the supplies they need. I honestly don’t buy tons of stuff as I’m a firm believer in only buying what you need and I’m teaching our kids to do the same. They are always prepared for all their classes when school starts.

You should definitely check out the BGCA website as well as it features Tip sheets for back to school and lots of other information on how the BGCA helps young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

BGCA has also partnered with JC Penney – and in August you can join jcp cares and round up your purchase at the register to benefit BGCA. Please share this information with your readers and encourage them to ‘round up’ if they visit jcp during August!
