Capturing Fun Memories With My Mom!

I’m happy to announce that I’ll be once again partnering with CVS Pharmacy to share everything I love about the pharmacy through out the year. Stay tuned for lots of fun posts from me and CVS! I’m kicking off the posts today by sharing how I’m capturing all the fun memories my mom and I share together with the help of  CVS Photo. My mom and I are like two peas in a pod. She sadly lives in New York and I live in California, so we don’t get to see each other as much as we’d like to. When we do get together, I always try to make every moment with my mom meaningful and fun. My grandmother and Aunt, who helped my mom raise me, have sadly both passed on, so I value every moment I spend with my mom. She’s all I have left! When I was kid growing up, my mom showed me how to dream big and go after my dreams. She always encouraged me and motivated me to overcome any challenge I faced. She helped shape me into the person I am today and all that I’ve achieved in my life, I owe to her. I know I’m better person because of my mom!

I try to thank her every day for all that she does and continues to do to support me. On a recent trip to New York, I wanted to take a bunch of photos with my mom to capture some of the awesome times we have together. She doesn’t like to take pictures, but I encouraged her to step out from behind the camera and join me in front of the camera to capture our family memories. These are some of the fun photos that we took together. We came across this colorful wall in Brooklyn and it was the perfect spot to snap some photos.

As you can see me and my mom dress alike. This was not planned and we both just magically perfectly matched in yellow.

She had a blast taking photos in front of the wall, which was a rare moment to capture. She would normally never take pictures like this, but this time she did. I say it was the colorful wall that made her so happy and open to take the photos. I’m so happy captured these!

I think these photos are amazing, so I had to do something special to preserve these memories. I decided to use my trusty and convenient CVS Photo service to make some fun products with the photos. I got this fun Photo Calendar made with the photos we took! How cute is that? I love it! It perfectly captures all the fun we had together during my last visit. I thought a calendar would be a great gift for her, so she can count down to the day when I’ll be visiting next.

You can choose from a variety of project templates and style options to design your calendar. I threw some fun colorful hearts and special messages for my mom on each page of the calendar. I also made each month that had a holiday themed to that holiday. I made this calendar in like 15 minutes on the CVS Photo website and by the end of the day, I had it home in my hands thanks to the free same-day in-store pickup option that came with it.
