As I embark on my road to a better and healthier me in 2013, I wanted to make sure I can capture all the ways I will be going about doing this with my Samsung Galaxy Camera. As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ll be capturing all of my food choices, recipes, and fitness routines with the camera.
I’m starting it off today by sharing my current fitness routine. My fellow Verizon obsessed friend Reyna came up with this routine to get me started in my crusade to get back in shape. Yes, that’s her below wearing her Verizon T-shirt as we work out.
We’re a funny two-some that’s for sure. Before I continue, I wanted to share that I went to the doctor and got a stress test and got a physical to make sure I was healthy to start full on exercise again. You should always consult your doctor before you start any fitness routine. My doctor gave me the go ahead to start working out, but she recommended I start out slow, so that’s what we’re doing.
Reyna is in great shape and she’s taking it slow for me. What a good friend! We’re both small but mighty!
I got my fabulous sneakers ready for our work out last night.
We’re doing a slow jog around my neighborhood. It’s a few miles and we break it up into jogging and brisk power walking in which we keep our arms moving.
We took along the Samsung Camera and of course our fitbits which track our steps and calories. The fitbit also connects to our Verizon Smart phones so we can track our fitness where ever we go. You all know I don’t leave home with out my fit bit!
We would stop after a few blocks of running or walking and do some lunges…
And some squat thrusts. They are good for tightening your muscles.
Since I’m out of shape (I’m not afraid to admit it), starting out at this pace with our work out is a perfect fit for me. I’ll be capturing each time we work out with my Samsung Galaxy camera, so stay tuned for more great posts and photos. Next up will be a hike in one our the canyons near where we live here in LA. Yes, we have canyons in Los Angeles and it’s going to be fun.

Whew that is a lot of working out 🙂 It always feels amazing though to do it. I am very out of shape but hope to change that.
