Celebrate The Lunar New Year At Universal Studios Hollywood!

Hey All!

This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity to check out the amazing Lunar Celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood. We’re celebrating the year of the dog and it was so much fun. It’s a celebration you don’t want to miss if you’re in the Los Angeles area. The parks plaza is beautifully decorated for the festivities and there is lots of fun to be had! Here is a little preview of what’s in store for you when you visit.

There are beautiful lantern decorations all over the plaza.

There are also awesome giant statues lining the plaza with lovely trees.

I love the way it was decorated!

How fun are these lanterns?! Love them!

You can also write down a wish and hang it on one of the trees in the plaza.

How sweet is that?! I certainly left my wish on this beautiful tree.

You can also check outĀ Mr. Pingā€™s Noodle Shop.

Mr. Pingā€™s Noodle Shop from Kung Fu Panda comes to life, including Mr. Ping himself who invites guests to enjoy his authentic Asian fare and a selection of hot and cold beverages.

You can get Secret Ingredient Stir Fry Noodles, Oogway Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, and Dragon Warrior Bao BBQ Pork Buns.

We had the pot stickers and the pork buns.

They both tasted amazing!

You could also meet Mr. Ping at the shop as well.

He actually talks to you and is super funny! We loved meeting him!

There is all-new Jade Palace Performance Stage is home to two engaging guest activities.

The exciting Dragon Warrior Training Show based on the beloved Kung Fu Panda franchise engages guests of all ages in an interactive martial arts demonstration performed by Master Po and friends.

Seasoned animators demonstrate the practical techniques of drawing their favorite Kung Fu Panda characters as keepsake mementos.

You can learn to draw different characters at different times.

They also have face painting available!

The Despicable Me Minions join the festivities in traditional Lunar New Year attire to meet guests and take memorable photos.

I can’t tell you how much I loved the little minions outfit!

It was sooooo cute!

They also have a great selection of limited edition merchandise to purchase to remember the festivities.

And last but not least there is a Mandarin-speaking MEGATRON from Transformers returns to interact with guests, engaging them both in Mandarin and in real-time conversation characteristic of his persona.

That’s just a little of the fun you can find going on at Universal Studios Hollywood.
