Hey All!
We were recently invited to attend a fabulous family media day at the Disneyland Resort. We were there to celebrate all the new happenings at the park and their Diamond Celebration. We couldn’t wait to see the fabulous Diamond Celebration decor all over the park. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a 6oth Celebration welcome. There were gorgeous Diamond decor hanging every where you turn. Diamonds are a girls best friend in case you didn’t know, and this girl loves her diamonds!
The Disneyland Resort Band played some classic Disney tunes as we entered the park.
I always love this saying when we enter the park. It always brings out the child in me and it reminds me to enjoy the time I have with the kids while they are young.
The one thing that we couldn’t wait to see was Sleeping Beauty’s Castle! During the Diamond Celebration, it’s glistening like never before as it’s covered with dazzling diamonds.
It’s such a magical thing to see up close.
We had to take a bunch of pictures in front of it of course.
Check out what magical animated photo @Disneyland on Twitter created with this picture. They did this to a few of our photos and it was beyond amazing! The family loved it. They’ve really outdone themselves on their Social Media accounts. Just click on the image to see the animation.
Everyone was excited to see it! Can you tell how excited I am in the picture below?
After the castle we went to eat breakfast at the Carnation Cafe. We always start our time at Disneyland Resort this way.
The baby was uncontrollably laughing she was so excited to be there. It was such a sight to see. I’ve never seen her so happy!
The Disneyland Twitter account took notice and made this fun animated picture. Click on it to see the animation.
Adorable I know!
We devoured our breakfast potatoes and Mickey Waffles. We also enjoyed the White Chocolate Bavarian Diamond Strawberry-Rhubarb Shortcake at Carnation Café. I’ll tell you all about that in my next post about all the Diamond Celebration Treats we enjoyed at Disneyland!
After breakfast we headed straight for Star Tours, my favorite ride.
After Star Tours we got some of that famous and delicious Pineapple Dole Whip, since it was getting hot by that time. I’m wearing the Disneyland Diamond Celebration limited edition ring I bought that day as well. I love this ring!
After the Dole Whip, we checked out the Diamond Celebration band and…
The fabulous new Mickey’s Soundsational Parade.
We also saw the new Hat Box Ghost at the Haunted Mansion ride!
The Disneyland Resort was also kind enough to through a special party for us and all the others attending. It was filled with balloon artists…
And photo opportunities with all of our favorite Disney characters. Can you tell we love Minnie by my shirt and her ears?
The Disneyland Twitter account also made these pictures into awesome animated pictures as well. Check them out below while clicking each picture.
As the sun began to set, we enjoyed the 3 new nighttime spectaculars:
The Paint the Night Parade was by far a huge hit with the family.
The spectacular light filled floats fill the night sky with color. It truly does bring back memories of the “Main Street Electrical Parade.”
As you can see from the pictures, This night parade features character favorites from Disney and Pixar films.
The parade is complete with over 1.5 million LED lights! As you can see in the picture below, your kids will be captivated by this and the fantastic Disneyland Forever fire works show!
The World of Color – Celebrate! show is hosted by the one and only Neil Patrick Harris. It too is so much fun to see. I didn’t get any pics of this unfortunately since both my phone and battery died by this time unfortunately. I also ran out of space on my phone. I took that many pictures because we truly had a magical time.
Thanks so much to the Disneyland Resort for having us and stay tuned for my post on all the fabulous tasty treats and merchandise you can get during the Diamond Celebration at the Disneyland Resort.
