The holidays have come to Hogsmeade village aka it’s the all-new “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” experience at Universal Studios Hollywood! We were invited to check it all out this past weekend for my birthday and it was one of the best birthdays ever! This immersive land gets a yuletide transformation this season and they are also transforming the iconic HogwartsTM castle into a dazzling light projection spectacular! The quaint town of Hogsmeade village also shines brightly with décor uniquely themed to each of the individual storefronts.
I mean how cute is my favorite shop Honeydukes?! Too cute!
You can check out the wide selection of all-new custom-made Christmas ornaments created especially for “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” cover Hogsmeade this season. Collectibles include a variety of decorative Hogwarts castle snow globes, Hogwarts crest and mascot ornaments representing each of the houses, as well as a collection of unique tree toppers and house pennant garland.
You can enjoy Hogsmeade for the holidays or have some fun on the rides at Hogwarts.
In Hogsmeade at the Three Broomsticks restaurant, you can get some yummy festive treats as well.
You can sip on some delicious warm butter beer, which is my favorite way to have butter beer…
And munch on some Rum Christmas Pudding and Sticky Toffee Pudding, which you see below.
As night falls on Hogsmeade village, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts TM Castle” will illuminate Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with colorful imagery and impressive dimensional animations that dance across Hogwarts castle in tandem to a musical arrangement from the Harry Potter movies.
“Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” represents the immersive land’s first holiday themed program since opening at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016.
It was a sight to see! You honestly have to see how gorgeous it is in person, because my photos and my video don’t do it justice.
This was a 6 minute incredible light show that included fireworks and the entire Hogsmeade village was lit up. The trees all around had lights moving with the show and music as well. You can’t see everything that happens in my pics or videos, so you’re just going to have to check out “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” for yourself!

I had the best time experiencing the holidays and my birthday at the new “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at Universal Studios Hollywood!
I can’t wait to hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and get back! It was the best birthday ever!
