Did You #SendCheer with Cheerios for Veterans Day? #sendCheer #military #cBias

Hey All!

As you read in my previous post about the Cheerios sendCheer campaign. I wanted to get send cheer for myself to a Military Family for myself to show a thank you to all the men and women serving our country.  I have a strong appreciation for the folks in the military because of my experience with having members of my family in the Military while growing up and I have the experience of having it in my life today with my own family.

My non-hubby was still in the Army for the first few years of our courtship. It was a very hard time to deal with as I was constantly worried for his safety and it was very hard to keep in constant contact with each other since it is difficult to reach someone in the Middle East. My non-hubby was in the Army for 10 years. It was a long 10 years to say the least. I wanted to show my support and send some cheer this Veteran’s Day.

I ran off to get a box of Cheerios and a few other things at my local Walmart! I like to shop alone when I’m just doing some quick shopping since it will go faster! I won’t have someone trying to ask for other things if you know what I mean.

I immediately went to the cereal section to see if they had the cereal with the Send Cheer postcard! I was super happy to see that they did.

I grabbed my cereal and did my little victory dance.

I then grabbed some rice crispy treats which are my families new addiction.

I also grabbed some holiday frosting!

I headed to the register and checked out with all my stuff!

As soon as I got home I got to sending my cheer. I cut out my post card, wrote my note and placed my stamp in the corner.

My Cheer is ready to go out in the mail today! I would have sent it out yesterday but the post office isn’t open on Veterans day of course. I’m so happy to send my thank you to a Military family.

Cheerios supports our troops and YOU should show your support as well. Take part in the Cheerios sendCheer campaign and send your support to military families everywhere by just paying the cost of a stamp! You can do this by purchasing specially marked package of Cheerios!

Here’s How You Can Participate!

  • It’s as easy as it says in the picture above. Cut, Write, and send Cheer by Purchasing the specially marked package of Cheerios from your local Walmart.
  • Cut out the pre-addressed postcard found on the front of the box like you see in the pic above. You cut out around the “Cheer” in the Cheerios logo.
  • On the back of the postcard you will write your special message or thanks.
  • You just put a stamp in the corner of the postcard and drop the post card in the mail.

That’s all you have to do! You buy some cereal and a stamp and you can spread some cheer a military family. Your postcard will be sent to the USO who will then distribute the postcards to military families on various bases and within USO centers.

Also just fyi, doing this will also aide in a donation to military families! For every post card the USO receives Cheerios will donate $1 to the USO to help support programs for military families. They’ve donated $150,000 thus far and will donate up to $100,000 more depending on the number of postcard received! So lets get those postcards out there!

For more info on the Cheerios sendCheer Campaign check out the sendCheer Campaign at cheerios.com.  For more information about USO visit USO.org.  You can also find info on the Cheerios Facebook page and on the Walmart facebook Page!

If I can do this you can do it too! It’s something super simple and small that anyone can do to say thank you to the families of the men and women who keep our great country safe.
