DIY Battery Powered Halloween Pumpkin Lights!

Hey All!

Halloween is almost here and I am counting the days until our non-stop Halloween festivities. I’m the hostess with the mostess this time of year, as Halloween is my favorite holiday. I knew I wanted to created some spooky lighting for our parties this year, so I decided to make some DIY Battery Powered Halloween Pumpkin Lights and Tea Lights! I needed to run out to Walmart to make sure I had some awesome RAYOVAC® batteries for the lights. I need batteries that are going to last me all Halloween season, as they will be used non-stop. RAYOVAC® batteries are the one thing that’s a sure thing and are my brand of choice for batteries!

You can find RAYOVAC® batteries at Walmart in the “Battery Quad” in-store located at the front of Walmart stores near checkout. They can also be found at the checkout aisle.

I got my RAYOVAC® HIGH ENERGY™ and RAYOVAC® FUSION™ AA batteries, some battery operated flameless candles, tea light candles, and some large and small candy basket jack-o-lantern pumpkins to make the lights with. The large pumpkins were only a $1 each at Walmart! What a steal! I even saved some money on my batteries by using this SmartSource Coupon! You can download and print it out too in order to save on your own RAYOVAC® batteries or you can use Ibotta.

I filled up my Walmart blue bag with the hubby and headed home to make my pumpkin lights.

Before I get to the DIY, I do have to mention a few more reasons why I love RAYOVAC® batteries. AA RAYOVAC® FUSION™

Flameless Battery Operated Tea Lights and Large Votive Candles(The tea lights use RAYOVAC® RV2320 Coin Cell Batteries!)
Large and Small Jack-o-Lantern Candy Pumpkin Baskets
Large 9″ Paper Mache’ Witch Hat
Lilac Spray Paint
Mini Paper Witch Hats

First you take your paper mache’ witch hat outdoors in a box. You don’t want to spray paint indoors. You want to only spray paint objects in a well ventilated area.

Spray paint your paper mache’ witch hat with your lilac spray paint.

Let it dry completely outside. Take one large battery operated candles and place the RAYOVAC® batteries into the candles.

I use the RAYOVAC® HIGH ENERGY™ AA Batteries for the candles that will be used in the pumpkin lights on the table setting for our Halloween party. These lights will be on for lots of parties and I need them to last!

I use the RAYOVAC® FUSION™ AA batteries in the candles for the pumpkin lights that will be placed outside on our door step. These lights will probably be on all night every night, so I want high energy in those lights.

Seal up the batteries inside the candles and place them inside the pumpkins.

Place the witch hats on top of the pumpkins and you’re done. You can place the pumpkins on your dining room table for you Halloween parties and out on your door step or front porch. You can even just have these out inside your home as some glowing Halloween decor.
