I couldn’t help but bring you another fun throwback Halloween costume today and this one is inspired by yet another toy I was obsessed with as a kid. Lets keep it real, I’m still am obsessed with Care Bears! Who doesn’t love Care Bears? If you don’t like Care Bears, I don’t even know what to say to you. I just can’t! LOL. I threw this costume together super quick and it’s another one that I made last year, but didn’t get a chance to post it on the blog, I did share it on social media, but I’m sharing it on the blog for the first time today. Again the pics aren’t the best because it was shot last year and we really just threw this one together. I don’t give a hoot, I still think it’s cute and hope you do too!
These are my two impressions of doing a Care Bear stare, in case you couldn’t tell! LOL.
Here is how to make it!
- Pink and White Felt.
- A Short Pink Dress. (They no longer have the one I got on Amazon in stock, but THIS ONE is similar!)
- Pink Ribbon.
- White Headband.
- Hot Glue Gun.
- Scissors.
- Printable Stick On Vinyl.
- This Free Care Bears Inspired Printable!
First you download and print out the Free Care Bears Inspired Printable onto the printable stick on vinyl.
You then cut it out with your scissors slowly to make a perfect round shape.
You’ll then stick it to the center of your dress like you see above.
Next you’ll cut out two pink and white round like shapes with flat bottoms like you see above. You’ll cut the white pieces down to be smaller than the pink pieces, so they can be the inner parts of the ear.
You’ll glue the white piece onto the pink piece with your hot glue gun and then let it dry. Once it’s dry, you’ll twist the bottom like you see above and glue the ends together. You’ll then wrap pink ribbon around a white headband or some pink felt. If you find a pink headband to match, you can use that too.
You’ll glue the ears onto the headband and that’s it! You’re done! You made yourself a fun and easy to make Cheer Bear costume. Yes it’s Cheer Bear, if you want to be exact with which Care Bear you’re going to be for Halloween.
Pair it with some pink tights and flats for the complete pink Care Bear look!
