Hey All!
I’m so thrilled to be collaborating with one of my favorite favorite brands CB2 today, to bring you this amazing DIY Disco Themed Galvanized Bubble Wreath Advent Calendar! Ever since I took that snap of my disco ball snowman and shared it on Instagram, I’ve been saying how much it’s going to be a disco Christmas. This is just one example of my fun holiday disco themed decor. If you’re a last minute holiday decorator, you can totally do this advent calendar and count down the last 15 days until Christmas. It’s super easy to make and all you need are a few supplies and this Galvanized Bubble Wreath from CB2 to make it.
To make this fun advent calendar you’ll need the following:
- A Galvanized Bubble Wreath from CB2.
- Silver Hexagon Favor Box.
- 2 x 2 x 2 Metallic Silver Tuck Top Favor Boxes.
- Mirror Tiles of Various Sizes.
- Double Sided Tape.
- Double Sided Heavy Duty Mounting Tape.
- 2 Inch Round Hole Punch.
- Silver Sticker Numbers.
- Toilet Paper Rolls.
- Scissors
- Various Size Disco Rolls For Decoration.
- Various Prizes To Put In Each Box. You could use these yo-yo’s, elephant ornaments, animal magnets, or cord tacos.
First you hang your Galvanized Bubble Wreath with a very long and thick nail. You don’t want it to fall off your wall as it is a bit heavy.
Next you start making your favor boxes. You can start with the easiest first which would be the Silver Hexagon Favor Box. You simply put your favor boxes together…
Place the advent gift inside each box. You can do a gift or treat in each box.
And lastly add a sticker number to them. You can make as many Silver Hexagon Favor Boxes for the advent calendar as you’d like. The amount of each box you make is up to you.
Next you can make your mirrored square boxes for the advent calendar. First you build your boxes and fill them with the favors inside.
You then place a layer of double sided tape on one side of the box that will open.
Then you place approximately 16 mirror tiles on top of the double sided tape on the 2 x 2 x 2 metallic favor box.
Lastly you place your numbers on the mirrored side of the box and you’re done with this type of box.
The last style of box you’ll make for the advent calendar is with the toilet paper rolls. You’ll cut each roll in half.
Then you’ll cut 2 inch circle pieces with your hole punch from the left over silver favor boxes.
Then you’ll stick together either 4 large pieces of mirror tile or 16 small pieces of mirror tile together with your Double Sided Heavy Duty Mounting Tape.
You then stick the silver circle punch piece to the back of the mirror pieces to hold them all together.
You lastly place the numbers on the mirrored section and stick a piece of the toilet paper role to each of the mirror pieces.
You can slide these favor boxes into your wreath and you’ll pull them out from out of the wreath for the advent calendar.
That’s how you make this fun advent calendar wreath! You can decorate it with some disco balls for an added touch.
You just slip all your boxes into the wreath and your done!
It’s such an fun and festive wreath.
It goes perfectly with my other disco Christmas decor.
Who wouldn’t want to pair this disco snowman with this wreath? I love it!
