Easter is just around the corner and there is nothing I love more than staying home and watching a fun family movie, while making some cute Easter Eggs to celebrate the holiday. I’m super excited to partner with Fox Home Entertainment to share that we’ll be watching one of my favorite movies, THE SANDLOT this Easter season. You can now buy the movie on Digital HD, which is awesome! The Sandlot is a classic family-friendly film and perfect for everyone in the family to watch together on Easter. You can watch it and make these super easy to make and adorable DIY Hercules aka The Beast Dog Easter Eggs!
Who doesn’t love when Benny (Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez) tackled the Beast in order to help Smalls (Scotty Smalls) get his dad’s baseball back? I can watch this movie a million times!
It’s truly a nostalgic family classic that still captures my heart every time I see it. There are also some memorable performances from nine terrific young actors. I’m sure you all remember the catchphrase, “You’re Killing Me Smalls!”
If you’ve for some nutty reason never seen this amazing movie, here is a synopsis of the film below:
It’s the early 1960s and fifth-grader Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry) has just moved into town with his folks (Karen Allen and Denis Leary). Kids call him a dork—he can’t even throw a baseball! But that changes when the leader of the neighborhood gang recruits him to play on the nearby sandlot field. It’s the beginning of a magical summer of baseball, wild adventures, first kisses, and fearsome confrontations with the dreaded Beast and its owner (James Earl Jones) who live behind the left field fence. Soon nine boys have become best friends, Scotty is part of a team, and their leader has become a local legend in this hilarious and warmhearted comedy.

I can go on and on about how I can’t wait to see it again on Easter, but I’ll get to showing you how to make these fun Easter eggs, so you too can make them when you buy the Digital HD version and watch for yourself on Easter.
Here is how to make The Beast Easter eggs!
- Hard Boiled Brown Eggs (Make as many as you’d like).
- Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper.
- Red Cardstock.
- Scissors.
- Magic Tape.
- DOWNLOAD THIS FREE PRINTABLE OF HERCULES THE DOG AKA THE BEAST!
First you download this FREE PRINTABLE OF HERCULES THE DOG AKA THE BEAST! You then print it out onto your Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper. You cut each piece out with scissors or you can also use a craft cutting machine.
Once each piece is cut out, you and your family can begin to stick on each facial piece and ears onto your brown boiled eggs. Super simple, I know! Once all your Hercules/Beast eggs are done, you can then make his dog collar/egg stand.
You cut a strip of red card stock that is about two inches long and half an inch in width. You tape each end together to make a little circle shape that looks like a collar. Stick on your bone Hercules dog tag and you’re done!
You place your eggs on the dog collar stand and your Hercules/The Beast Easter Eggs are done.
You can place the little baseball sticker onto his mouth in the center or to the side, since Hercules is the keeper of all The Sandlot baseballs. He has to have a baseball!
Either place you put the baseball looks adorable. I love how these came out and I can’t wait to make them when I watch The Sandlot on Easter!
