Hey All!

You all know how much I love Disney right? Well in honor of MINNIE IN PARIS (An adorable new picture book about Minnie Mouse and her fashion adventures in Paris), I decided to show you how to make some bow confetti to celebrate!

Minnie is famous for her bow so why wouldn’t we celebrate with some bow confetti.

To Make This Adorable Confetti You’ll Need:

  • A Bow Punch
  • Glue Dots
  • Liquid Chalk Pen
  • Pink and Red Cardstock

You start by punching out your bow confetti with your whole punch. My punch was not only a bow puncher, but it also punched mustaches as well. If you can find a solo bow punch that would be ideal to cut down on clean up.

Make sure to not lose all the little ovals that punch out with the bows as those are the bow centers.

You then draw on the dots with your white liquid chalk pen. Because Minnie is famous for her dots.  You don’t have to draw dots on all the confetti. You can leave some of the bows plain if you’d like.

You lastly stick the bow centers on to the bow with a glue dot.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just have fun with it.

You can use about half a glue dot per center per bow.

That’s it. You’re done. You continue to do the same process to all the bows. Then fling your confetti in the air to celebrate!

Minnie in Paris  was written by Sheila Sweeny Higginson, Illustrated by Mike Wall and was released in stores on May 13, 2014.

Fashion is Minnie’s passion! And, as a result, she’s been invited to show her bows on the runways of Paris! At the airport, Minnie is so busy taking care of her nieces, Millie and Melody, that she accidentally switches suitcases with Penguini the magician–and finds that his suitcase is full of bunnies instead of bows! Minnie must round up the mischievous little bunnies, find Penguini, and make her bows in time for the show. Will she make it?

Readers are treated to a stunning tour of famous Parisian locations, from the Louvre to Tuilleries Gardens to the Eiffel tower, to a classic Parisian bistro—all in search of Penguini’s bunnies.  The book also comes with a free EBook version with instructions on how to get it!
