Hey All!
Thanksgiving is around the corner and each year I throw two separate dinner celebrations. I do one for my friends called a “Friendsgiving” and another one on Thanksgiving Day for our family. This year, I’m thrilled to partner with GODIVA to create a fun DIY for our annual Friendsgiving. I created these fun and easy to make DIY Pie Slice Place Cards with GODIVA Masterpieces chocolates. These place cards look like little pumpkin pie slices and have a piece of GODIVA Masterpieces chocolates hidden underneath. They are the perfect sweet treat to have for your guests at their place setting.
Who doesn’t love a tasty piece of chocolate after a meal? I know I do! My bag of GODIVA Masterpieces individually wrapped chocolates came with an assortment of Godiva’s legendary chocolates including Milk Chocolate Caramel Lions of Belgium, Dark Chocolate Ganache Hearts, and Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Oysters. Each piece comes individually wrapped and fits perfectly underneath your pie slice place cards!
One bag is enough for all the place settings on my table and it has a variety of flavors that I know each person attending my Friendsgiving will love.
Here is how to make these festive place cards.
- 1 Bag of GODIVA Masterpieces Assortment of Legendary Chocolates
- Orange, Light Brown, White Craft Foam
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Pink Thin Tipped Marker
- This Free Printable Pie Slice Template
First you download and print out your pie slice template and cut out your pie slice pieces. You can cut this out by hand with your scissors using the template as a guide or you can use a craft-cutting machine by uploading the image.
Once you have all your pie slice pieces cut out, you then take your hot glue gun and glue the tabs to the inner side flaps of the pie slice.
You fold along the sides to make a triangle piece that looks like a pie slice.
Next you’ll use your ruler to cut out a few pieces of light brown craft foam that match the width of the back of the pie slice. You’ll then glue it to the back of your pie slice piece and cut the edges to look like piecrust.
Next you’ll cut out round white circles from your white craft foam. You’ll then use your scissors to cut the edges to make it look more like a dollop of whipped cream in shape.
Write the name of the person for this place card on the white dollop piece and glue it onto your pie slice. Place a little GODIVA Masterpieces Chocolate underneath the place card.
Place the pie slice onto the table setting at the table and you’re done!
How cute is that place card folks? Too cute!
Your guest will lift them up to find the surprise chocolate underneath. It’s such a fun place card that I’m sure will be a hit at your own Friendsgiving celebrations.
Your friends can enjoy the chocolate after you finish your meal…
Or they can take it home with their place card as a fun little Friendsgiving favor gift.
Fill a cornucopia with some chocolates to create a “sweet” centerpiece for your table as well. Pun intended!
I know all my chocolate loving BAE’s who are attending our Friendsgiving are going to love seeing all this chocolate goodness on the table this year.
It’s going to be a very Happy Turkey BAE (I mean Day) and Chocolate Day!
I hope you enjoy these DIY Pie Slice Place Cards With GODIVA Masterpieces Chocolates just as much as I do!
Have a very happy and chocolaty Friendsgiving everyone!
