DIY Powerpuff Girls Treat Boxes!

Hey All!

I’m all about celebrating Girl Power and nobody does it better than The Powerpuff Girls! I created these fun DIY Powerpuff Girls Treat Boxes in partnership with Hulu.com in order to share how excited I am that they are back! I remember when they first came on the air in 1998, because I immediately fell in love with them. The three girls were so adorably animated and at the same time were also fiery and brave. It’s always amazing to see girls kicking butt! I really loved how each character demonstrated what it meant to be a hero in each episode and as heroines; they are a great model for young girls and boys.

I loved making these DIY Powerpuff Girls Treat Boxes, for a little viewing party I’m going to throw to watch these girls again. I’m so happy kids and their parents can still enjoy them today thanks to Hulu! Hulu is now the only place to find the full classic animated series The Powerpuff Girls.

In case you’ve never seen the show, take a peek at the trailer:

Also here is a little about the show:

The Powerpuff Girls centers on three sugar-coated superheroes, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, whose missions in life alternate between going to school, fighting crime, winning at hopscotch and saving the world before bedtime. The girls are frequently called upon by the town’s mayor to help fight nearby criminals using their powers. While their differences cause them to squabble and tease, their individual strengths combined always lead them to victory. They rely on teamwork, trust, and friendship to thwart evil (in the most adorable way).

Doesn’t that make you want to watch?!! You can watch each fun episode and enjoy lots of fun goodies inside these adorable Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup treat boxes!

Here is how to make these super easy treat boxes:

Paper Maché Boxes (2 Round and 1 Oval).
• Non-Toxic Craft Glue or Glue Stick
• Light Beige Craft Paint
• Paint Brush
• Scissors or Craft Cutting Machine
• Hot Pink, Orange, Red, Bright Blue, Neon Green, Yellow, White, and Black Cardstock paper
• Download and Print or Upload the images of THIS TEMPLATE into your craft cutting machine.

First you paint your paper-maché boxes with your light beige craft paint. It will take 2-3 coats. Make sure you get a paint that is very light beige like the girls.

While your boxes are drying, cut out your pieces for their faces and hair.

There are two ways you can do this. The first way is that you can download and print out THIS TEMPLATE and cut out the pieces in order to use the pieces as a template, as you cut the shapes with your scissors. Or you can also upload each image into your craft cutting machine and have the machine do the work for you, so you get cleaner lines.

Either way will work, but obviously hand cutting it is harder.

Once you have all your pieces cut out for the faces and hair, you then glue each piece onto your now dry boxes.

Let the boxes dry and you’re done! You can make some adorable Blossom, Bubbles…

And Buttercup treat boxes, because you always have to make all three girls of course!

You can fill them with some treats for your kids to enjoy or give them out as party favors for your Powerpuff Girls viewing parties or birthday parties. Anyone will surely love eating their tasty treats from these adorable “GIRL POWER” boxes.

I know I can’t wait to watch The Powerpuff Girls again! I hope you’ll check them out on Hulu and love them and these treat boxes as much as I do!
