Hey All!

Are you tired of giving the traditional box of chocolates and are still trying to figure out a sweet treat to give your special someone this Valentine’s Day? Well look no further because love is in the air and in these Pillsbury cupcakes we’re making for Valentine’s Day! Check out these DIY Surprise Cupcake Valentines we created to show our friends and family how “sweet” we think they are. We made them with two awesome Pillsbury products, which made creating them so much easier! We used the New Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag, which makes frosting sweet treats a cinch in ready-to-go packaging. It’s available in three flavors, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge and Cream Cheese and it’s the first-ever pre-filled Pillsbury pastry bag. It makes frosting a fun activity for bakers of all skill levels, with little clean up and an impressive result. I also used Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devil’s Food Premium Cake Mix. These DIY Surprise Cupcake Valentines are a sweet simple treat to make this Valentine’s Day!

First you mix your Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devil’s Food Premium Cake Mix and bake your cupcakes according to your boxes directions. Bake your cupcakes in your Valentine’s Day themed cupcake liners.

Let your cupcakes cool completed once they are baked. Once they are cool, use your pipping tip to make a whole in your cupcake.

Place some sprinkles inside the cupcake and place the center piece of cupcake that was removed back into the cupcake.

Frost your cupcake with your New Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag.

You can make a flower like design with the frosting and add some sprinkles.

How simple and cute is that folks? Too cute!

If you make the piped flower design, just sprinkle on some Valentine’s Day themed sprinkles onto the cupcake.

You then download and print your free heart cupcake toppers onto white cardstock and cut them out with your scissors.

Place a heart topper onto your cupcakes.

They have fun sweet sayings like “Baby Cakes” and “Cutie Pie”.

You then place your cupcake into a single serve clear plastic cupcake holder.

Place a to and from label on the top of the holder.

Decorate the sides of the holder with some heart stickers and some ribbon if you’d like.

Fill out the to and from label with your Valentines name and special message and you’re done!

You made yourself a super cute and tasty Valentine for your special someone. Who wouldn’t love being handed a thoughtfully made cupcake instead of a stereotypical box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day? I know I would!

And if you’re wondering what is the surprise aspect of the cupcake is, When the person takes a bite from their cupcake or slices it open, they are surprised when a bunch of sprinkles pours out of the cupcake.
