DIY Tres Reyes Magos Crown Banner!

Tres-Reyes-Magos

Hey All!

On Tuesday January 6th is Three Kings Day also known to my fellow Latino folks asĀ El DĆa de los Reyes or Los Tres Reyes Magos! It’s a Latino tradition that the holiday season doesnā€™t officially end until this day.Ā  It marks when the baby Jesus was visited by the three Kings, also referred to as Wise Men or Magi. They presented the baby Jesus with three symbolic gifts. Gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Hopefully you know the gist of the tale.

Growing up my family always celebrated it and heck any way to keep the gift giving going right? We don’t even take down our Christmas Tree until then. The only thing that always bugged me about the holiday is we always had to make our own decorations for it. You could never really find fun decorations that celebrate the day.

Me and my friend Elba over at Live Colorful decided to partner once again to do something festive for the holiday that we could decorate with and share with all off my fabulous readers who also celebrate. We made a Free Printable Tres Reyes Magos Crown Banner that you can download and hang up to celebrate.

I have one hanging across our fire place mantle and one behind our Christmas tree.

It’s fun to have at least one little decoration to celebrate a family tradition I’ve been celebrating since I was a kid. As you all know I’m Puerto Rican and Cuban and I love to share my Latin traditions with you all.

I did manage to find these little Three King figures in the Target Dollar section this year and I got two sets as who knows if I’ll ever find them again.
