DIY Twinkies Queen Halloween Costume!

Hey All!

I don’t know if you knew, but I am the Twinkies Queen. I’ve had an obsession with Twinkies since I was a little kid and I could totally relate to Woody Harrelson’s character in the movie Zombieland. I’m actually a legit Twinkies Queen as my Twinkies recipes have event been published in the official Hostess Twinkies Cookbook, which you can find on shelves.Ā  In case you didn’t know that fun fact about me. Since I love them with a passion, I decided to make a Twinkies inspired Halloween costume this year. Behold the DIY Twinkies Queen Halloween Costume! It says “hostess with the mostess” on it with a happy heart and “Twinkies Queen”! It even has a giant bitten Twinkie headpiece with crown! Love it!

It’s the perfect costume for all my fellow Twinkies Queens!

Here is how to make it!

This costume is probably the easiest costume you could ever make for Halloween! First you Download and Print Our Free Twinkies Queen Printable on to the Printable Stick On Vinyl. Print out two of the Hostess with the Mostess images.

Cut out each piece with your scissors and stick them onto the the center and top corner of the front of your dress. You’ll also stick one hostess with the mostess piece onto the back bottom corner.

Once all the stick on vinyl pieces are stuck onto the dress, you’ll cut out 3 large circle pieces from your white felt. You’ll either use velcro glue dots to stick the 3 dots on in the center of the back of your dress or if you don’t care to save the dress, hot glue them on. Make sure to put a piece of cardboard in between the dress so no hot glue seeps through the fabric to the other side as you glue. That’s all you have to do to make the dress.

For the head piece, you’ll take your yellow felt fabric and cut out two identical large oval pill like shapes. You’ll hot glue along the edges of each piece.

You’ll leave a small space open and let the glue dry. You’ll flip it inside out, almost like making a no-sew pillow, and fill the yellow pocket with a small piece of cardboard for the bottom of the twinkie and pillow filling. You close up the open end with hot glue and cut out a piece of white felt to look like the cream filling inside. This will make it look like a twinkie that has a bite taken out of it. Lasty you cut a crown shape from an iridescent paper cup and glue it onto the giant Twinkie headpiece. Every Twinkies Queen needs a crown!

Glue the giant twinkie onto a white headband with your hot glue gun and let it dry.

That’s it! You’ll be rolling the streets on Halloween like the Twinkies queen that you are!

I hope you love this fun and easy to make Twinkies Queen Halloween costume just as much as I do!
