Hey All!
We’re hitting you with another amazing Halloween costume today and this one is for the hottest drink of the summer the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino! It was a much requested costume and I did my best to make it happen. I tried to keep the DIY of this costume as simple as I could while getting it to look as close to as possible like a Unicorn Frappe. I think I pulled it off. You all will have to let me know how I did. If you loved the Unicorn Frappe aka the most instagramed drink in the history of ever, you’re going to love this costume!
It’s the must have drink costume of Halloween and I hope you like it as much as I do!
Here is how to make it!
- Lavender, Magenta, Lilac, and Cyan Spray Paint (I used Gold brand spray paint!)
- Laundry Basket or any tall round plastic basket you fit into
- White Felt or Fleece Fabric
- Scissor
- Box Cutter
- Hot Glue Gun
- White Elastic
- Clear Plastic Wrap
- This Printable Stick On Vinyl
- Clear Packing Tape
- Duck Tape
- Empty Paper Towel Tube or Wrapping Paper Roll
- Plastic Headband
- Green Stick On Vinyl

First you get your basket and cut out the bottom with a box cutter. Be careful not to cut yourself with the box cutter or the plastic as you cut it out.
You then cut the fabric down to size so it wraps perfectly around your basket. The white fabric should be long enough to flip around the edges of the top and bottom of the basket to glue it on.
Use your hot glue gun to glue the fabric onto the basket. Make sure the fabric is pulled tight against the basket before you glue it on. Place some clear packing tape along the top edge of the basket. This will keep the top edge white as you spray paint.
Spray paint the white fabric with your spray pain colors. Make a zigzag line across the front so it looks like the swirls of flavors inside a unicorn frappe. Spray hints of the lilac and lavender spray paints around the fabric to simulate where the flavor colors combined.
Let your fabric dry completely! Once it’s dry, slowly pull off the clear packing tape at the top. You then download Our Free Printable Unicorn Frappe Decal and print it onto this Printable Stick On Vinyl. Cut it out carefully with your scissors and stick it onto the front of your unicorn frappe costume.
Wrap the entire costume in some clear plastic wrapping and tape it down with some of your clear packing tape. You can also secure it down with some Duck Tape. Once the unicorn frappe body of the costume is done, cut to strips of white elastic in the length that fits how you’d like the costume to hang on your body and glue them into the sides of the frappe with your hot glue gun.
The costume body is done after that! It’s going to need that signature green straw to complete the costume. All you have to do is use either an empty paper towel tube or wrapping paper roll cut down to size and wrap it in your green stick on vinyl.
Once you have the green stick on vinyl on smoothly, use your hot glue gun to stick it onto a plastic headband.
Let it dry and your done with the entire costume!
