Hey All!
As Summer is now upon us, it’s always fun to get outside with the family and soak up some sunshine. I personally always try to make sure the whole family stays hydrated when we head outdoors. There is nothing worse than being dehydrated when we’re out having fun. The only issue we always have is we always forget who’s water bottle belongs to who. So to solve that problem, I decided to make a fun little craft that me and the family could do together. I created these DIY Word Bubble Water Bottle Labels For Summer Fun! They are so easy to make and they fit perfectly on the bottle caps of Nestlé® Pure Life® water. Thanks to Nestlé® Pure Life® for inspiring me to make this fun DIY With the family! Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water has always been committed to making water as healthy hydration convenient for families by offering a variety of pack sizes, bottles and designs – from kid-friendly 8oz bottles to 20oz bottles perfect for mom and dad.
Here is how you make them!
- White Card Stock
- Printer
- Scissors or Craft Cutting Machine
- Stick On Velcro
- Our Word Bubble Labels Printable
You can make these two ways. You can DOWNLOAD and Print our Word Bubble Labels Printable on white card stock and cut them out or you can upload the image into your craft cutting machine and use it’s print then cut feature. Either way will work!
If you’re cutting them out with your family, you definitely need to supervise the cutting out of the word bubbles so no accidents happen. Once you’re bubbles are all cut out, you and your family can write your names on one of the bubbles.
You then cut pieces of the stick on Velcro into little squares that fit the size of your bottle cap. You stick one piece onto the bottle cap and one piece onto your word bubble label with your name on it. You then stick your word bubble labels on your water bottles. That’s it! You’re done! Since these are Velcro backed labels, you can reuse them and stick them onto other bottles. You can even laminate the word bubble labels to make them even more secure.
It’s such an easy and simple fix to our water bottle mix up. Now we can all stay hydrated without confusing water bottles. I firmly believe staying hydrated is extremely important. It’s sometimes such a struggle to get my family hydrated and apparently I’m not the only one. In a 2015 survey conducted by Nestlé® Pure Life®, moms and kids revealed many surprising insights about their hydration habits. Drinking water is one of the biggest “healthy habit” struggles moms have with their kids (38%), even more than struggles like “eat your fruit” (29%), “get enough exercise (23%), “eat your breakfast” (19%), and “drink your milk” (18%). To overcome this challenge I make fun DIY’s like this to make drinking water fun. Water doesn’t have to be boring! It’s an essential for daily life, especially during the summer. These 2016 Nestlé® Pure Life® Share-a-Smile bottle label design collection make it even more fun, as they have cute colorful sayings on the bottle. They are adorable, kids love them, and they are small enough to keep in my purse whenever I need to hand one over for someone to drink. In 2017 they will have new designs, which you can learn about entering to get your child’s design on below.
In 2014 bottled water volume sales in US supermarkets surpassed that of carbonated soft drinks, showing a shift of preference towards bottled water as opposed to beverages with added sugars.
Kids who drink 4+ glasses of water per day are more likely to frequently exhibit healthy habits, such as:
- Getting their own water when thirsty
- Eating their fruits and vegetables at meal times without reminders
- Requesting healthy food and beverage options for school lunches
