Hey All!
Our Cinco de Mayo get-together is around the corner and I’m so excited to decorate and start planning what tasty treats I’ll be serving our guests to celebrate. My husband is part Mexican, so it’s a big fiesta filled with lots of friends and family at our home. I love to decorate with piñatas and Mexican picado tissue paper banners and cook up some yummy treats using Mission® Street Tacos Corn Tortillas and Mission® Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips. This year, I decided to cook up some super easy to make and yummy Chicken Street Tacos with Mission Street Tacos Corn Tortillas and Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips alongside Mission Mild Salsa.
When I’m cooking for a lot of people, I don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. These Mission Street Tacos Corn Tortillas make cooking up some street tacos a breeze. I’d rather be out there enjoying the company of our guests instead of slaving over a hot stove or grill.
To make the tacos, you’ll simply season two to three chicken breasts with a variety of seasonings including paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc. I’ve included the full recipe and instructions at the bottom of this post.
You then place a spoonful of the shredded chicken at the center of a Mission Street Tacos Corn Tortilla and top it with shredded lettuce, tomato, and Mexican cheese. You grill up the chicken until it’s grilled completely and then remove it from the grill. Place it into a bowl and shred the chicken with some forks.
Place it on some cute plates for your fiesta and you’re ready to chow down and celebrate Cinco de Mayo! These tortillas taste just like the tortillas you’d find on a taco truck on the street. They are the perfect size and come in the perfect amount to feed our family and guests. They save me the trouble of having to make tortillas and they make cooking up some street tacos a lot easier and quicker. I can turn out six of these tacos in like two minutes once the chicken is done! They are also the perfect size for appetizers.
I mentioned before that I’m going to pair our chicken street tacos with some Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips and salsa! It’s the perfect side to have with these super tasty tortilla chips. I love how light and crispy they are. They taste just like the chips you’d find in a restaurant and are the perfect shape for dipping! They are shaped in the traditional restaurant-style and are tasty enough to eat right out of the bag without salsa!
They are made with four simple ingredients and sea salt. They are also certified gluten-free! If I didn’t have to share these with my guests for our celebration, I would totally eat this bag by myself.tasty enough to eat right out of the bag without salsa!
Speaking of celebrating, right now you can play the Instant Win Piñata Game once every day until Cinco de Mayo. Prizes may include a Mexico cruise, Google Home, Uber gift cards, Mission coupons and more! You can play at www.play.missionpinata.com!
I highly encourage you to make these for your own Cinco de Mayo parties! They will surely be a hit with your party guests as well. I know these chicken street tacos and tortilla chips are going to be a big hit at our Cinco de Mayo fiesta. When I cook, I like the meals I make to be quick and easy, but I also like them to be fun and taste delicious. With Mission Street Tacos Corn Tortillas and Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips, I know I will always be cooking up some delicious tacos and an easy delicious side.
