Easy Creamy Guacamole Salsa!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of MissionĀ®. All opinions are entirely my own.

Hey All!

Each year I host a start of summer BBQ for me and all my family and friends. Itā€™s a fun gathering that brings of my friends and family together. I look forward to it all year! Our menu always consists of the traditional BBQ fixings and a tasty dip with tortilla chips. This year I decided to make a yummy and easy Creamy Guacamole Salsa! Iā€™m pairing it with my favorite MissionĀ® Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips!

I love these chips because they taste like traditional restaurant-style tortilla chips and are perfectly crispy! They are also the perfect shape for dipping and are tasty enough to eat right out of the bag!

I can eat a whole bag by myself if you let me! I also love they are made with four simple ingredients including sea salt and are certified gluten-free! I donā€™t have to worry about my gluten-free diet friends not having something to munch on at our BBQ! Thatā€™s what makes Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips my must-have item to complement my dip at all my outdoor gatherings. I rave about them to all my friends and family!

Since my summer BBQ is coming up, I thought I would share this awesome dip Iā€™m making today as well. Here is how to make it!

  • MissionĀ® Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips
  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 3 tomatillos
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • Ā¾ cup of lime juice (Add more if you like it to have an extra lime flavor!)
  • 5 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

First you cut open and pit your avocados. How pretty is this avocado folks? Love it!

You then scoop out the flesh into a bowl. I like to mash my avocados by hand with a potato masher at first, but you just put them in a food processor or blender if you donā€™t want to mash anything by hand.

You then dice up your tomatillos into tiny pieces and add them along with your minced garlic, lime juice, sour cream, water, salt and pepper to your mashed avocados. I add more lime juice as I taste it, since I love to have mine with more of a zesty lime flavor.

I then use a hand mixer to mash all the ingredients together until they are smooth. I like to use a hand mixer instead of a food processer or blender because I can control the texture of the guacamole salsa.

I donā€™t want it to be too watery and I donā€™t want it too thick. I like it some where in between a guacamole and salsa verde texture. Thatā€™s just the way I like it. Itā€™s smooth, super light, and flowing in the bowl.

Place it in a bowl and serve it with some Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips! Thatā€™s it! Youā€™re done making this awesome creamy guacamole salsa! It tastes amazing and goes perfectly with our Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips!

As I said before, I always make some kind of dip to go with our favorite tortilla chips. What else are you going to pair those hot dogs and burgers with? Itā€™s much too difficult to try and make some fries on the BBQ and I try to not have something traditional like potato salad. Chips and a dip are the perfect alternative.

This year I decided to change up our normal selection of a guacamole or a salsa and combine the two.

Having a tasty dip at our summer BBQ is a staple in our family and we canā€™t have a BBQ without it!

The chips and this creamy guacamole salsa are the perfect match! I can sit and dip all day! I will say I am NOT a double dipper! You should never double dip your chips. You should take a nice scoop of your dip onto your chip and enjoy!

I canā€™t wait to serve these amazing chips and dip at my summer fun BBQ! I know all of my friends and family are going to love it!
