Easy DIY Minions Chocolate Pretzels!

Hey All!

I can’t tell you how excited I am about Despicable Me 3 coming out in theaters on June 30th! I’m going to be interviewing Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig who star in the film tomorrow and to celebrate I decided to make Easy DIY Minions Chocolate Pretzels! Let’s be honest… You can’t have a Despicable Me movie with out some Minions fun and I can’t wait to see what cute fun they have in store. I’m going to get an advanced screening of it tomorrow and I know what tasty themed treats I’m taking with me! I’m ready to enjoy the movie with these fun chocolate Minion pretzels. You can be ready too by making some too!

Here is how to make them!

  • 1 Bag Yellow Wilton Chocolate Melting Discs
  • 1 Bag of Blue Wilton Chocolate Melting Discs
  • 1 Bag Wilton Black Chocolate Melting Discs
  • 1 Bag of Pretzel Rods (use how ever many you’d like to make!)
  • Wilton Edible Eyes

First you melt the blue chocolate in the microwave. Heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between time, until melted.

You then dip pretzel rods about 2/3 into the melted blue chocolate. Lay on a baking sheet to let dry. Melt the yellow chocolate the same way and dip each pretzel from the other end to cover the rest of the pretzel.

Place the edible eyes on the yellow part near the top. On some put 2 eyes and some just put one eye to resemble the minions. Let dry.

Melt the black chocolate the same way as the other colors and place into a small plastic bag and snip the corner off.

Lastly you pipe little goggles on around the eyes and make a little mouth on each one and let dry completely. Try not to move or touch them while they are drying, so you don’t mess them up!

These are so great to take to see the movies and they are also great for all those Minions themed parties! You can see the DIY Minions Party we did HERE for some party ideas!

I hope you enjoy these fun and easy to make Minions themed treats as much as I do!
