Looking for a delicious and easy drink to enjoy for Cinco De Mayo? Check out this Easy Frozen Lemon Daiquiri For Cinco De Mayo!
Hey All!
Happy Cinco De Mayo! There is nothing I love more than a holiday where we can eat some of my husbands family’s Mexican recipes and I love to teach my son what the holiday is really for. Cinco de Mayo has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture, but it’s actually a celebration of Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. It’s good to know the history behind these holidays we celebrate.
Today we’re going to be enjoying these Frozen Lemon Daiquiris and lots of tasty food! I figured you’d need a tasty drink to toast with today and this easy drink will do just the trick.
Check out how to make it below:
4 oz. white rum
2 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 ounce simple syrup
3 cups ice
1 ounce triple sec
Fresh lemon slices for garnish
Blender
You’ll need some kind of blender. A hand held blender will work.
In your blender you add the rum, lemon juice, simple syrup, triple sec, and ice.
You blend the mixture until smooth. It should be like a lemonade slushy consistency.
Spoon the freshly blended drink mixture into your cocktail glasses and garnish with a fresh slice of lemon.
Serve and enjoy! Obviously you have to be 21 and older to drink this drink and remember to never drink and drive and to drink responsibly.
If you don’t want to make it with alcohol, you can make a non-alcoholic version by just leaving out the rum from this recipe. It will taste just as good!
I hope you enjoy this Frozen Lemon Daiquiri as much as I do!
