Easy No Sew Felt Christmas Tree Advent Calendar!

Hey All!

I know it’s December 6th and I’m sharing our annual advent calendar DIY, but I always say better late than never! Check out this years easy No-Sew Christmas Tree Advent Calendar! I can not sew for the life of me and have a deathly fear of sewing machines, which I’m trying to over come. I figured I could still make a fun advent calendar with out having to sew as I do each year. This year I wanted to make something we could use over and over again for years to come with our bubbly baby.

This is super simple to make and it did not take long to make. Here is how to make it!

  • 2 Yards of Green felt and half a yard of  Brown Felt.
  • 12 inch by 12 inch various colored felts
  • Gold Sticker Numbers.
  • Scissors.
  • Craft Glue.
  • Glue Gun.
  • 1 Twelve inch Wooden Dowel.
  • 16 Inches of Gold String.
  • 2 Pink Tassels.
  • 1 Yard Stick Ruler.
  • 1 Pencil.

First you use your pencil to draw out the tree shape with your yard stick ruler. You’ll then fold over your green felt, so that it’s double sided. You’ll cut out the triangle tree shape, so it’s the same size on both sides.

Next you’ll cut out the tree trunk from brown felt and fold it over, so it’s even on both sides. You’ll hot glue the trunk inside the tree piece and glue the dowel at the top of the tree. You’ll also glue both sides of the tree pieces together.

You’ll then cut circle shapes from your colored felt that are 2.5, 3, and 3.5 inches wide. You’ll also cut out little ornament hooks in various sizes to match the balls. I used a gold felt for this.

You’ll hot glue the ornament hook shapes to the circles to make the ornament pockets for the calendar.

You’ll hot glue only the edges of the ornaments to the tree leaving the top of the ornament open. You’ll place them on the tree varying the sizes through out.

You’ll then stick on the gold sticker numbers by using some craft glue to secure them onto the ornament pockets.

Lastly you cut out a yellow star and hot glue it to the top of the tree and tie your string and tassels to each end of the wooden dowel.

I placed some glue at each spot where the string is tied on so the string doesn’t move.

Fill your pockets with some mini snickers, twix, and other holiday little treats and you’re done! I added little holiday finger puppets to my large pockets! How cute!

It’s not perfect, but I still love it and wanted to share it. I hope you love it just as much as I do! Happy Holidays folks!

Count down to Christmas has begun!
