Hey All!

On a recent media trip for Disney, I had an early look at the new exhibit Thor: Treasures of Asgard at Disneyland park.

It’s truly a site to see filled with lots of movie memorabilia and even Thor himself.

As part of this exhibit you get the opportunity to meet Thor and take a photo with him.

The Installation is located at Disneyland next to the Iron Man Innoventions Stark Industries exhibit which showcases the various Iron Man suits used in Iron Man 3.

The exhibit is described by the Disney parks blog as:

Astrophysicist Jane Foster, who established a special relationship with Thor, has been studying the “Bifrost,” a cosmic bridge that allows Thor to travel between the Nine Realms, including Earth. She has determined that the Bifrost is set to open again in Southern California and pinpointed the precise location as Innoventions at Disneyland park. Foster and her team are preparing for the opening of the Bifrost with the installation of Thor: Treasures of Asgard, a collection of objects brought to Earth straight from Asgard. After viewing the exhibit, you’ll be invited to enter a chamber where the Bifrost will transport you to Asgard for an audience with Thor himself!

It’s an exhibit that is not to be missed when you visit the Disneyland resort. You can’t miss seeing Loki’s helmet live and meeting Thor! If you’re a fan of the new film Thor: The Dark World it’s a great opportunity to see some of the props from the film.

Thor is my favorite, So getting the opportunity to meet him at Disneyland park is welcomed addition to the already magical park.

You’ll notice when you visit the Disneyland Resort to see Thor in the next few months that the park just got merrier. The holiday season has begun and it includes all the traditional Holiday favorites you’ve come to love each holiday season with some amazing new additions.

World of Color has a new stunning theme! The new show is called “World of Color – Winter Dreams” and it’s an all-new holiday version of the very popular “World of Color” nighttime, water spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park.

It’s absolutely incredible to see. I got to see the premiere performance of the show and I literally almost wept as it was so beautiful to watch. The show is hosted by Olaf the snowman from the new Disney animated film Frozen.

It also features the music of Frozen and other characters from the film like Elsa. You’ll also see many of your favorite Disney characters as well.

The nighttime show features dazzling technology, original music and an honor choir. Seeing the Mickey ears change color in sync with the show is truly fantastic.

Another welcome addition to the holidays at Disneyland is “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!”. This new celebration, inspired by Latino culture and celebrations, features music, food, dancing and an exciting Street Party multiple times a day. It began Nov. 15 at Disney California Adventure. This precedes the Jan. 3-6 Dia De Los Reyes celebration for Three Kings Day.

“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” is a merry celebration inspired by the warmth and joyous spirit of the Latino culture, filled with holiday traditions, jubilant dancing and exciting music.

Based in and around the Paradise Garden area of Disney California Adventure, the special activities include live Latino music, dance lessons, holiday foods and, the “Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party.”

Being a Latina myself I have been looking forward to this addition since it was announced. It’s not only a magical holiday cultural experience, it’s a spectacular festive event that anyone can enjoy. The rich music, vibrant costumes, and stunning 12-foot-tall mojiganga puppets are a must see!

It’s led by the “Three Caballeros” – Donald Duck and his life-long amigos Panchito from Mexico and Jose Carioca from Brazil. The infectious mix of Mariachi and Samba musicians, folklórico and carnaval dancers,  and those ambassadors of holiday cheer, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, will really get you going, as Santa and Mrs. Claus join in to cheer and celebrate “¡Viva Navidad!

The last festive addition I had to share is the Jingle Cruise. For the first time the Jungle Cruise skippers decorate for the Holidays and add some fun new jokes to their riverboat tour, at Disneyland Park.

The Jungle Cruise is a historic part of the Disneyland park. It’s so imaginative and refreshing to see the cruise in this new festive way.

If you’re visiting the Los Angeles area for the holidays, Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure are a must see for your holiday vacation!

For more information on all the holiday festivities visit the Disney Parks Website.
