Hey All!
Since I’m having soooo many health issues as of late I’ve made it my personal mission in life to get healthy in 2013! Seriously, I’m going to start watching every calorie I eat and every step I take. I’ve enlisted the help of a small little device that I am now obsessed with called the Fitbit. The comes in two different types, the Fitbit One and the Fitbit Zip. I have the Fitbit Zip in 3 different colors, Pink, White, and Black! That’s how much I love this little device.
I think the Fitbit Zip is the perfect tech savvy gift or stocking stuffer for the Holidays! The Fitbit Zip is a handy little tool that allows you to monitor your health and fitness goals. It connects with your Iphone, Ipod Touch, or Ipad by downloading the Free Fitbit App and you sign up at www.fitbit.com to track your weight loss. You can also monitor how many steps you take, how many calories you’ve burned, as well as set meal plans, and weight loss goals. You can input your weight online and monitor how much weight you’re losing with your Fitbit Zip!
It’s a tiny little device that does a lot! It does not charge, instead it runs on a battery that is similar to a watch battery which you instal when you get your Fitbit Zip. It says the battery will last 4-6 months. As you can see it clips on to your pocket and you’re good to go. I don’t leave home with out my pin Fitbit Zip since I got mine. I love the pink one since it’s easy to find.
But I also use the white one sometimes. The white one belongs to my teen as I think this is a gift that is great for all ages teen and up and for both men and women! Everyone should do what they can to get healthy in the new year.
How do you sync your Fitbit Zip you ask, it also comes with a very small USB device that looks similar to those tiny zip drives that stays in your computer. This little device syncs all your info for the day on your Fitbit Zip to your Fitbit account online.
I love how colorful the online account is and I also love that you can connect with friends who also have Fitbits and essentially cheer eachother on as you make your fitness goals. I also love that it gives you little awards called “Badges” as you can see in the right of the picture below. You get a badge every time you make a new goal.
Like I recently got my 15,000 steps badge! It will also send you an email with your weekly progress.
The Fitbit Zip is amazing at keeping you motivated and is one of the most encouraging little devices and programs I’ve ever used to monitor my health and fitness. It would make a great last minute gift idea or even better, it would make the great gift for yourself to start 2013 off on a healthy note!
