Hey All!
This Tuesday is not only my birthday, but it’s Giving Tuesday. If you have never heard of it, Giving Tuesday is a day to celebrate giving, and a call to action to give more, give smarter and put personal philanthropy back into the giving season. I’m taking the day to not only celebrate my birthday, but I’m also taking the day to give back. I usually donate to Toys for Tots or to our local church each year around my birthday and the holidays, but this year I’m taking some time on my actual birthday to head to women’s shelter to donate to an expecting mom at the shelter. It’s Giving Tuesday so why not take the day to give back. I get enough on my birthday, why not take the time to do something thoughtful for someone in need.
Believe it or not there are pregnant women in need. I don’t have a ton of money to give, but I can take advantage of some deals to buy some products to donate. A little goes a long way to a family in need, so I figured I would use this Black Friday to score some great deals on products to donate those in need for the Holidays. I picked up some baby products, diapers and baby toys to donate.
While everyone else was racing to get the hottest electronic deal, I was racing to get products to give away. It was a good feeling.
#GivingTuesday proves that the holidays can be about both giving and giving back. It celebrates how Americans can do more with their wallets than just show – and that we Americans can give as good as we get.
#GivingTuesday is “an opening day to the giving season.” I encourage you to take advantage of Giving Tuesday this week on Dec. 3rd! It’s my birthday and why don’t you celebrate with me by giving to those in need!
How will you be giving back this year?

That’s so great that you’re giving back- and have a great birthday on Tuesday!
Definitely a great campaign especially when the Friday can bring out the unloving side of humanity.
